We have so much to be thankful for! Tonight we have a special missions giving opportunity for PNG missionaries from Bethel CRC church -as we also pray for our team who are in PNG right now and heading home to Australia tomorrow. Join us at 5:30pm as we start a brand new series, Empowred to Grow. There’s nothing like being part of a family of faith, hope and love! It’s ‘Bring Ya Mum to Church Night’ for our 5:30 service this Sunday - or even a good friend, mum figure or mentor in your life! There’s a number of amazing women in our 5:30 fam if Mother’s Day is a bitter sweet for you and you just need a friendly face! We got Lev cooking up some deliciousness (YIROS!! 👌🏽C’mon!), a stunning item by our 5:30 creative team, Ps Jonathan will be sharing a testimony as Ps Cass brings the Word. If you need a little sunshine in your life, come say hi!

Tonight!!! We are kicking off a brand new series called Empowered to Go with our dear friend and brother in Christ, Ps Jeremy Steel, bringing the Word 💥
Jeremy is pictured here with Rueben Burton, a much loved CFC friend, as they recently ministered at Amata together with a number of team members over the Easter weekend. As Lead Pastor at .lefevre and one of our CFC Churches Board Members, Jeremy also has a great missionary heart for reaching the nations - come expecting to encounter Jesus as we lift him up!! Last Sunday Recap 😊📢

Part 2 of our One in Three series on the Trinity was a reminder of just how beautiful God is. All three Persons of the Godhead were involved in our salvation:
The Father wanted us and lovingly planned to adopt us as his very own
The Son died for us and paid the price to ransom and and free us for God’s purposes
When we entrust our lives to Christ by faith, the Holy Spirit has sealed us as forever belonging to the Lord - his indwelling Spirit is a deposit, a foretaste and our guarantee of eternity with God the Father, Son and Spirit.
Ephesians 1:3-14
Remember this artwork we reflected on at the end of Ps Cass’ message? (Ps Janet Brice shared this beautifully at our 8:30 service too). We often imagine God through the lens of our imperfect or distorted thinking and incomplete, even at times painful relational experiences. Jesus tells the story of the prodigal son in Luke 15 to correct distorted thinking about what God is like and how he views all of us who have wandered off (overtly in our actions or secretly in our hearts). As Charlie said, this story really should be called ‘the running father.’ And it’s as we consider the one true God who has revealed himself to us in the biblical scriptures, that we are not only in awe of his goodness, kindness and greatness - we can’t help but want to fall into his arms. For this (Luke 15:11-32) is what our Heavenly Father is really like 🙌🏼🙌🏿🙌🏽

Last Sunday Night Recap 😊📢

It was a privilege to have Laura and team lead us to lift up our hearts and fix our eyes on Jesus. Opening up God’s Word we also spent time thinking about how Jesus reveals the absolute wonder and beauty of God the Father, Son and Spirit, co-equal and existing eternally in perfect, loving unity.

God in Three persons, blessed Trinity (as the old hymn goes) is a mystery we definitely cannot wrap our minds around; rather it’s a mystery we accept because it’s how God has chosen to reveal Himself, as the Scripture teaches us. We are not analysts of the mystery of the Trinity; we are invited, through faith in Jesus, to be participants in Him. As one commentator said, “The Trinity is not just to be affirmed with our creeds, but encountered with our lives...this is not confusion; it’s worshipful wonder!”

Remember, this is our God…

He is our good and perfect Father who provides our daily needs; our crucified and Risen Saviour who forgives our sins and our mighty Advocate who delivers us from the evil one and empowers us to live for God’s glory!

“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.” - Ephesians 2:18

Tonight we start a brand new series - One in Three - as we unpack who our God has revealed Himself to be: Father, Son and Spirit! Ps Cass is bringing the Word🔥 and we can’t wait to be together as a 5:30 congregation.
