“Woman, you have great faith!” — Matthew 15:28
In Matthew 15:21–28, a Canaanite woman comes to Jesus crying out, “Lord, Son of David, have mercy on me! My daughter is demon-possessed and suffering terribly.”
Jesus does not answer her immediately. Yet she continues to plead, “Lord, help me!”
Even when she is tested, she humbly persists in faith, trusting that even the smallest mercy from Jesus is enough.
And Jesus says:
“Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish.”
— Matthew 15:28
Her faith was marked by humility, persistence, and confidence in the mercy of Christ.
This passage reminds us that genuine faith does not demand that God answer on our terms. It bows before Jesus, trusts His goodness, and continues to cry out to Him.
“Lord, help me.”
May we have that kind of faith—faith that perseveres, faith that humbles itself before Christ, and faith that believes He is merciful and sufficient.
🙏 Lord Jesus, have mercy on us. Strengthen our faith to trust You, even when the answer seems delayed.
