In 2023, and Nexus Church purchased , an established nursery in Samford, which is now operating as a social enterprise of Nexus Care. All proceeds from the nursery go back into the community programs of Nexus Care, supporting vulnerable families and individuals throughout greater north Brisbane.
Late last year, we submitted a joint development application in partnership with Nexus Care and Closeburn Country Garden which would see a single multi-use building added on-site at the nursery.
This fit-for-purpose building would provide the Nexus Samford congregation with a permanent home after four years of holding services in classrooms and local halls. It would also create space for Nexus Care to better engage with the needs of the local community.
Right now, we need you to put pen to paper (or fingertips to keyboard) in support of Nexus Care and Nexus Church’s development application for Closeburn Country Garden. Letters of support are a critical component for the approval of the development application, so we’re asking you all to submit a support letter to Moreton Bay Council. Every letter counts!
