One morning I popped next door to the IGA for milk. I spotted the parent of a former student and asked how he was. He melted into my arms. He was not doing well, and he was not sure he could keep going.

We sat outside and talked. I listened. I told him that while I had only come out for milk, perhaps I was there at the right moment for a reason. We have since found support for his mental health, and I check in with him every week.

Being present in a community means you are there when it matters most.

In the last two weeks of May Mission Month, we were reminded that we are reconcilers, ambassadors, and intercessors.

This weekend, we have the privilege of having our brother Ken Hall from Woolloomooloo to minister to us. Ken will be sharing from the Word and from his ministry experience. We will also have the joy of dedicating three of his grandchildren, Ashley and Ryan Hall's children during the service.

Please do not miss worship meetings unless you have extremely difficult circumstances.

Today, we remember. We pray.

Today we remember stories of bravery, sacrifice and loss.
We remember lives given, futures altered, and the cost carried by families across generations.

In a world where many still face conflict, displacement and deep uncertainty, we pray for healing where there is pain and hope where there is weariness.
May God’s peace meet those who serve, those who suffer, and those longing for a safer tomorrow.
