Men’s Movie Night Recap from John H 🍿🎞️

Movie Night – Faith, Fellowship and Testimony

On Saturday night we had a movie night at church, but it became much more than just watching a movie.
We spent the evening looking at the work and testimony of Alex Kendrick, the American pastor, writer, producer and actor behind movies such as Facing the Giants, Fireproof, Courageous, War Room and Overcomer. As Christians, I believe having movies like these available is so important. They give us an opportunity to see stories of faith, struggle, hope and what God can do in people's lives. These movies have helped many people change their lives and take a step towards God. What made the night even more special was having brothers from different denominations come together. We might worship in different churches and have some differences in how we do things, but Saturday night was a great reminder that we share something much bigger — a wonderful God and a shared faith in Him. Our Pastor Jesse was also moved to share some of his own story, encouraging everyone to embrace this life of faith and to trust in what God can do in our lives. It was a simple night, but a really special one. Good fellowship, good conversation, some powerful stories and, most importantly, an opportunity to celebrate what God has done and continues to do in the lives of people.
We are considering having another movie night and watching The Forge, another film from Alex Kendrick that focuses on faith, discipleship and finding God's purpose for our lives.

Women’s Breakfast Update (06 June 26)

This day was beautiful to see each of our HOPE ladies share and enjoy this rare moment all across different ages. Thank you for the presence of everyone who attended.

Our ladies were treated with a sumptuous breakfast prepared by our Kitchen crew.

To top it all, we were touched and blessed by Caitlin’s sharing of her
personal faith journey in the midst of doubt, fear and loss. She has exemplified to us what it meant to “to wait for the Lord and as he renews our strength; and for us to be able to mount up with wings like eagles; run and not be weary; walk and not faint.” In reference to Isaiah‬ ‭40‬:‭31‬. May we be given the grace to surrender all to our Lord Jesus Christ.

We give thanks to God as he showers upon us blessings of love and joy as we stand side by side as sisters in the Lord.
