Holy Redeemer Church, Deloraine

The service will be followed by Daryl’s burial at the Deloraine Lawn Cemetery.

Following the burial, everyone is warmly invited to join us from 2pm at Meander Valley Vineyard to gather, share memories, tell stories and celebrate Daryl’s life together. All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on the day.

Thank you for the incredible love, kindness and support shown to Daryl and our family. We would love to have those whose lives he touched there with us as we celebrate the life of a man who meant so much to so many.

This Father’s Day, we remember the dads we can no longer call, visit or sit beside.

We remember the love they gave, the lessons they taught and the memories that remain. For those grieving a father, grandfather or father figure, we hope today brings gentle moments of remembrance and comfort.

We also take a moment to acknowledge and appreciate the fathers, grandfathers and father figures within our team. Thank you for the care, compassion and dedication you bring to your work and to the families we support.

You are all in our thoughts this Father’s Day.

Every funeral tells a story.

Sometimes it's a favourite song that fills the room with memories. Other times it's a heartfelt eulogy, a guard of honour, a convoy of vintage cars, a memory table filled with treasured photographs, or even one simple flower placed on a coffin.

The most meaningful tributes aren't always the grandest—they're the ones that truly reflect the person being remembered.

Grief doesn't follow a timeline.

Some days you may smile at a treasured memory.

Other days, the smallest thing can bring tears.

Both are completely normal.

There is no right or wrong way to grieve, and there is no finish line.

Be gentle with yourself.

And if someone you care about is grieving, remember that your presence is often more valuable than finding the perfect words.

Sometimes simply saying,
"I'm here whenever you need me,"
is enough.

It's not always easy to talk about death and dying. Your excellent questions, your openness and your curiosity all helped us to have these important conversations together.

On Tuesday 4th August we are again hosting an information session on death, dying and preparing for end of life.
Come and meet our welcoming staff and our end of life doula. Ask any questions you might have about planning your end of life wishes. No question is silly.
We will have coffins, urns, shrouds and other keepsakes and memorabilia on display on the day.
