“I’m a big fan of children’s ministry. I think it’s invaluable,” wrote Jen Wilkin in 2021.

“But let me be clear: While children’s church is a wonderful supplement to big church, it is a terrible substitute.

A child old enough for kindergarten can be welcomed into big church with a little loving guidance from a parent determined to disciple.

If it is true that ‘more is caught than taught,’ parents should value modeling worship for their children more than any lesson taught by a children’s church leader.”

Please join us this Sunday as we say farewell and Bon Voyage to Ps Fred and Margarita Brogden who after serving our community for over 20 years, are moving to Hervey Bay. They will leave at the end of January to live close to family and enjoy this next season .
Please bring a plate and join friends and family for lunch following the farewell service.

Tomorrow we will NOT be meeting at 55 Jackson Road for our usual Sunday service but we will be found out and about - meeting with old friends , making new friends, hanging out with family and joining our communities for a day of sharing and caring, good coffee and great company.
Have a blessed Sunday and we will see you next year !! ( 10:00 am Sun Jan 4th for our first service for 2026)

A great end of year breakup and thankyou to all the team at Safe Hatbour Church combined with a somber moment of respect and prayer for those who were so tragically and brutally assaulted by darkness and evil.
We want to wish everyone a blessed and peace filled Christmas.
We will be holding a Christmas Day Service from 9-10:00am - 55 Jackson Rd and we would love to have you join us ☺️

This Friday ( 12th) is our last Kings Table dinner for the year. We will resume on the first Friday in March.
A big thank you to all our volunteers for their amazing support and service and also to the BBQ team who do the sausage sizzle every fortnight to raise the funds for the Kings Table.
We will be celebrating ALL of our K.T and church volunteers on Friday 19th with a pot luck dinner at the Church. 5:30 for a 6pm start.
Please come dressed for One Night with the King ,bring a plate and get ready for some fun. 🥳
