The Lord will come at a time when no one expects it. Like a thief in the night, no one knows the time or the hour. Are we ready for His return? This is a question we should take seriously because God is expecting us to be prepared, alert, and watchful at all times.

The parable of the 10 virgins reminds us all of a very clear message: that we must walk with God faithfully, be constantly filled with the Holy Spirit, and live a life that is devoted to the Lord.

Our personal readiness is what we should work on- which would always start from having a relationship with the Lord, our individual communion and faithfulness that the Lord will look at. We cannot depend on someone else’s oil. Let this be a reminder that each of us will be personally accountable to the Lord.

Philippians 2:12”Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling

“God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self control.” - 2 Timothy 1:7 ESV

Gentleness is a calm, caring strength that reflects Christ’s meek and loving heart. It tempers strength with mercy, opening hearts to God’s Spirit.

Breakthrough gentleness is the key to bringing healing to every kind of wound, restoring hearts and relationships through the Spirit’s touch:

◾Restores relationships: Gentleness in words and in deeds heal divisions and conflict.
◾Attracts God’s presence: Spirit-endowed gentleness gives Him delight.
◾Demonstrates power under control: Gentleness reveals the strength of the Spirit through genuine humility.

Breakthrough Gentleness ushers in God’s transformative power, restoring hearts, relationships, and communities through the Spirit’s tender touch.

The life of a believer must be one marked by persistence in faith and endurance through every season. We are called to persevere despite opposition, persecution, trials, and challenges. Perseverance means not giving up, but continuing in our walk with the Lord no matter what comes our way.

Jesus endured suffering while He was on earth and even faced death. He is the perfect example that we must follow. He did not give up on us because He loves us and desires for us to be with Him in heaven and to have fellowship with Him.

May we be encouraged that though we may face many trials and tribulations, the Holy Spirit will always help us overcome. It is God’s gift to us, giving us the power to endure and the strength to carry on - not by our own might, wisdom, or strength, but by the Spirit of God who lives in us.

So let us remain in active service to the Lord, occupying ourselves until He comes, for there is a great reward awaiting us: to hear God’s commendation,

“Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!”

For today’s preaching we have, three mothers. Three different battles. One faithful God.
This Mother’s Day, we honour every woman who has ever prayed through pain, given through lack, or loved through loss. Your frailty is not failure, but it is the place where God’s faithfulness shines the brightest.
