On the second Sunday after Pentecost, today's Gospel reading recounted the calling of the first Apostles by Christ. Both Peter and Andrew, as well as Zebedee's sons, James and John, immediately chose to follow Christ without offering any excuses or additional demands. They embraced the challenge to become fishers of men, rather than fish. Their purpose in "catching people" was to guide them towards God's path through the Word of God, the Holy Gospel. God extends a call to us daily, a simple invitation to relinquish the offerings of this world and to turn towards Him, to begin following Him. This entails commencing a Christian life, replete with Christian virtues and founded upon Faith, Hope, and Love, which will ultimately lead us to a blessed existence within the Kingdom of God. Through the intercessions of the Holy Apostles, may the Lord Jesus Christ save us and have mercy on us.⛪☦💒

Today, the Orthodox Church commemorates the feast day of St. John Vladimir. St. John Vladimir served as the ruler of the Raska and Zeta region, which is presently known as Montenegro. He was a devout and sincere Christian believer who consistently practiced his faith and offered assistance to those around him. During a battle, he was captured by King Samoil. While in captivity in Prespa, he encountered King Samoil's daughter, Cosara, and they developed a deep affection for each other. From being a captive, he became King Samoil's son-in-law. He married Cosara and was subsequently reinstated as the ruler of Raska and Zeta. Following King Samoil's passing, his son Gavrilo Radomir ascended to the throne. He was later assassinated by his relative Ivan Vladislav, who then seized the throne. Under false pretenses, Ivan Vladislav summoned St. John Vladimir to Prespa, where he tragically beheaded him. Miraculously, St. John Vladimir is said to have carried his own head and walked into the church, where he surrendered his soul to God. The sacred remains—the relics of St. John Vladimir—are located in Elbasan, Albania; Ohrid, Macedonia; the Monastery of Zograf at Mount Athos; and in Bar, Montenegro. Through the intercessions of St. John Vladimir, may Lord Jesus Christ save us and have mercy on us.

Today, we observed the feast day of Saints Constantine and Helena with a Liturgy and prayers. Emperor Constantine, the son of Constantius Chlorus and Helena, ascended to the throne following three significant battles: against Maxentius, the Scythians, and the Byzantines. During the initial conflict, he reportedly witnessed a celestial sign, a prominent cross of light, accompanied by the inscription, "By this you shall conquer!" Indeed, despite having fewer soldiers, and with the cross as his emblem, he emerged victorious over Maxentius. Constantine subsequently contacted Bishop Sylvester and received Christian baptism. He then introduced the Edict of Milan, which established religious tolerance throughout the Byzantine Empire. In later years, Constantine elevated Christianity to the status of the state religion. Both Constantine and his mother, Helena, were ardent supporters and proponents of Christianity. Helena, inspired by divine grace, embarked on a quest for the Lord's cross, successfully locating it and subsequently establishing a beautiful church dedicated to Christ's Resurrection at that very site. Helena and Constantine also founded numerous other churches across the Byzantine Empire. Helena passed away in the Lord in 327, and Constantine followed in 337. Through the intercessions of Saints Constantine and Helena, may the Lord Jesus Christ grant us salvation and show us His mercy. ⛪☦💒

Denes se slucuva i potpolno otkrovenie na Sveta Troica pa zatoa i praznikot se narekuva so toa ime. Praznikot se narekuva i Pedesetnica bidejki se praznuva 50 dena posle Veligden. Licnata Pedesetnica na sekoj od nas hristijanite se slucuva na denot na krstevanje, koga novokrsteniot se Miropomazuva i go prima Darot na Pecatot na Svetiot Duh, i postanuva toj novokrsten hristijanin Hram na Svetiot Duh koj obitava vo nego. Naseto clenstvo vo Crkvata isto taka e licna Pedesetnica, bidejki obitavanjeto na Svetiot Duh vo Crkvata se slucuva neprekinato. Na krajot na sluzbata se procitaja i trite vecerni kolenoprikloni molitvi na koi prv pat posle Veligden se kleci. Pentecost, also known as the Feast of the Holy Spirit or the Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles, and sometimes referred to in connection with the Holy Trinity, marks a significant feast day, often considered the Church's birthday. On this day, tradition holds that the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles, as Christ had promised, bestowing upon them divine power. This occasion is recognized as the complete revelation of the Holy Trinity, hence its frequent association with that name. The feast is also called Pentecost due to its observance 50 days after Easter. For Christians, a personal Pentecost occurs during the Chrismation service, which immediately follows Baptism, when the newly baptized receives the Seal of the gift of the Holy Spirit, thereby becoming a temple of the Holy Spirit. Our inclusion in the Church also represents our personal Pentecost, as the Holy Spirit is perpetually present within the Church, bringing all things to fruition. At the conclusion of the service, three Pentecostal prayers were recited, during which all the faithful knelt for the first time since Easter. May God's Holy Spirit reside within every Christian soul and manifest gifts according to each individual's needs.⛪💒☦
