A beautiful night as the installation of Fr Francis Fernandez was held last night as Daisy hill parish.
Big thanks to Archbishop Shane, Dean Fr Onyema and all the priests and Deacons who attended to celebrate and welcome Fr Francis to his new parish.
Mass and celebration afterwards was beautiful. Thank you St Edward’s Daisy Hill.

On behalf of Dean Fr Onyema and Logan Deanery Pastoral Council i would like to thank the deanery youth for accepting the initiative to have a Deanery youth event. So proud of the work you all put into this event.

This will be a great kick start for all our parishes to create strong youth groups in the Logan Deanery. Please contact your parish council members for more details on how to engage your youth in the parish.

This year marks 25 years since the first National Count of Attendance by the Church in Australia. Throughout May, parishes across the Archdiocese of Brisbane will participate in the latest National Mass attendance count, at a time when Mass attendance is rising, with churches overflowing and many parishes reporting increased baptisms and renewed interest in RCIA programs. This World Day of Prayer for Vocations (Sunday 26 April), we invite you to pray with us for those being called to serve the Church. May hearts be open, and may many respond generously to God’s call.

As Pope Leo reminds us, vocation begins in the heart — in prayer, silence, and learning to listen to the voice of the Good Shepherd. It is not simply a role, but a path of beauty, trust, and relationship with Christ, where each person is called to discover the unique way God is inviting them to live.

Let us pray that many will hear that call, have the courage to say “yes,” and find joy in following where the Lord leads.
