Throwback Thursday to the end of last term when CrossTalk took a day trip to Manly. They spent the day soaking up the sun and enjoying a picnic by the beach. They practiced their conversation skills as they chatted to some friendly locals.

Last week CrossTalk went on an outing to Ebenezer Church. This historic church is the oldest church in Australia that is still used as a place of worship. The group had a time of reflection upon entering the church, and then sung together. They enjoyed the church surrounds and some yummy scones. They even had an informative talk about the graves that have hidden steps leading to a room below where the coffins are placed!

Daniel (Minjun Kim) - South Korea

"God said “Come to GLO.” I obeyed. Every Korean man must serve in the army, so after this course I have to do that. I want to go quickly, so my plan is that I’m going to go back to Korea to serve in the army, and I will apply for KATUSA (Korean army working together with the USA army). After that I will be back to GLO. I like to play soccer and exercise as well as watch movies."

Yesterday the CrossTalk students went for an impromptu visit to Lennox Bridge in Glenbrook. They enjoyed happy times in the freshness of the forest and raced leaf boats down a stream.

Stella (Hakyung Lee) - Gunsan, South Korea

"I went on a mission trip to Nepal and I felt the need for language there, so I can use it meaningfully when I do missionary work later.

After this course, I will go to the gym and reinforce my knee. I like every sport and I like dancing."
