This is a Page to help keep people informed about what's happening across the A2A alliance of churches.

We are an alliance of churches who celebrate the strength that comes from sharing our lives in a proactive way for the purpose of encouragement and accountability, which is the natural outcome of authentic relationship. We want to be dynamic churches that reflect the excitement and life that comes from the anointing of the Holy Spirit active in the lives of every believer in the local church. We want to be missional churches that are intentional about changing the world, where believers are obedient to the command of Jesus to go to all corners of the earth, with the good news about salvation and hope for the future that comes from a vital relationship with Jesus. This page is aimed at helping us share that mission and vision.

What does it look like to be the Church Jesus intended us to be?

The APEST framework reminds us that the Church is called to live out five essential expressions of ministry:

🌍 A - Apostolic: We should always see ourselves as sent — taking the good news of Jesus beyond the walls of the church and into our communities.

🙏 P - Prophetic: We should always attend to God and His concerns — listening to His voice and aligning our hearts with His purposes.

❤️ E - Evangelistic: We should always share the story of Jesus and invite people into a living relationship with Him.

🤝 S - Shepherding: We should always nurture, maintain and develop healthy communities where people are loved, cared for and grow together.

📖 T - Teaching: We should always grow in knowledge, wisdom and understanding, helping people know God's Word and live it out.

As Alan Hirsch would say, ‘The beauty is that we need ALL five!’

Not just one expression. Not just the one that comes most naturally to us. All are needed, every time and in every place.

When these expressions work together, the Church is better equipped to make disciples, develop leaders, build healthy communities and reach people with the love of Jesus.

A2A churches are spread throughout Australia, and each church is unique. We differ geographically, in size, in how we express worship, and in how we serve and love our communities.

Although diverse in many ways, we share one heart and a commitment to doing life together.

We stay connected and grow in relationship through cohorts, Leaders Together meetings, our annual conference, mentoring, and our annual retreat.

Because we believe churches are better together, and doing life together matters. ❤️

Our heart at A2A is to reflect the character of God in all that we do.

To be a people who lead with compassion, extend mercy, are slow to anger, and demonstrate unfailing love and faithfulness.

As a relational network of churches, we want to see these characteristics reflected in our churches, our leadership, our relationships, and the communities we serve. ❤️

Discipleship is walking alongside another.

We are called to be disciples of Jesus, people who not only disciple others, but are also being discipled ourselves.

Pastor and leader, a good question to ask yourself is:

Who am I being discipled by?

The obvious answer is Jesus. But who is the person you sit with, learn from and do life with, someone who is further along the journey than you?

Leadership was never meant to be done alone.

Being discipled by others is good for our soul, mind, spirit and body. We all need people who can encourage us, challenge us, speak into our lives and help us keep growing.

So, who are you walking alongside, and who is walking alongside you?

To all our Dads, Uncles, Grandads, Nonnas and Pops… Happy Father’s Day! ❤️

Today we honour and celebrate all the fathers and father figures who love, guide, protect and encourage their families.

But above all, we give thanks to our Heavenly Father. 🙏

Thank You, Father, for loving us unconditionally and for giving us Your one and only Son, Jesus Christ, so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Holy Spirit Empowerment is one of A2A Aspiration’s values.

As a movement of churches, our heart is to be empowered by the Holy Spirit, relying not on our own strength, but on His power. We don’t want to build in our own strength.

We want to depend on the Holy Spirit, be led by Him, and see His power at work through His Church.

“Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,” says the LORD Almighty. ~ Zechariah 4:6

Church, Jesus is asking us to pray.

To pray to the Lord of the harvest to raise up and send more workers into His harvest field.

The need is great. The harvest is plentiful. And the call is clear.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:37–38

Let’s pray for workers. Let’s raise up leaders. Let’s go into the harvest.
