A2A This is a Page to help keep people informed about what's happening across the A2A alliance of churches.

We are an alliance of churches who celebrate the strength that comes from sharing our lives in a proactive way for the purpose of encouragement and accountability, which is the natural outcome of authentic relationship. We want to be dynamic churches that reflect the excitement and life that comes from the anointing of the Holy Spirit active in the lives of every believer in the local church. We w

ant to be missional churches that are intentional about changing the world, where believers are obedient to the command of Jesus to go to all corners of the earth, with the good news about salvation and hope for the future that comes from a vital relationship with Jesus. This page is aimed at helping us share that mission and vision.

This weekend marks a significant milestone for one of A2A’s churches — Gateway Church, Seaford, led by Rick and Marcy Paynter.

For 40 years, Gateway Church has faithfully impacted its community and touched the lives of countless people. What an incredible story God has been writing through this church — through its pastors, eldership, church family, and the wider community they have so passionately served.

Their influence has extended not only across the Mornington Peninsula, but throughout Australia and into Papua New Guinea.

Gateway Church has been known for its passion for Jesus, its heart for people, and its commitment to the creative arts.

Congratulations, Gateway Church, on 40 amazing years of ministry and impact! We celebrate all that God has done and pray His richest blessings over the next 40 years ahead.

Tim O’Neill, A2A’s National Leader and also the National Leader of Exponential Australia, recently wrote a powerful article titled:

“Rebuilding Connection and Community: Opportunities for Church Plants and Churches in Changing and Uncertain Times.”

In the article, Tim reflects on the growing challenges of isolation, loneliness, and anxiety in our communities, while also highlighting the opportunity the Church has in this season to bring hope, connection, and the message of Jesus.

“Our world is changing quickly, and many are experiencing isolation, loneliness and anxiety at levels we are not used to seeing. Just perhaps many who have been closed in the past may be opening to the spiritual.”

It’s an insightful and inspiring read for pastors, leaders, and anyone passionate about the mission of the Church in today’s world.

At the A2A National Conference 2025, we were incredibly blessed by the teaching ministry of Dr Constantine Campbell, who unpacked the book of Ephesians across five powerful sessions.

With depth, clarity, and a heart for the Church, the teaching challenged and inspired us to live fully in Christ and embrace God’s mission together.

Whether you want to be inspired for the first time or revisit the teaching again, these sessions are a fantastic resource for pastors, leaders, and churches.

Holy Spirit Empowerment is one of A2A’s aspirational values.

Who are we without the Holy Spirit?
Who is the Church without the Holy Spirit?

These are important questions for all of us to reflect on — as individuals, as local churches, and collectively as the Body of Christ.

Holy Spirit Empowerment is about living and leading with dependence on His power rather than relying on our own strength. When the Holy Spirit moves, lives are changed, hope is restored, and communities are transformed.

Imagine what our churches, communities, and nation could look like when we truly live empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Pastoral supervision is important to A2A.

As part of our Aspirational Values, we are committed to seeing safer churches for all.

What does this mean? It means creating environments where every person is valued and protected, and where bullying and abuse of any kind are not tolerated.

To support this, A2A requires all credentialed pastors to engage in pastoral supervision.

If this matters to you and you’d like to know more, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out at [email protected].

Amazing Pastors and leaders, have you completed a Harrison Assessment?

At A2A, we’re passionate about seeing healthy leaders lead healthy churches. That’s why the Harrison Assessment is a key part of how we support leadership growth.

This report offers powerful insight into your strengths, highlights areas for development, and helps build greater self-awareness — all essential for long-term, sustainable ministry.

And you’re not left to figure it out alone. A2A provides both the assessment and a dedicated mentor to help you unpack your results and take meaningful next steps.

Because lasting leadership growth starts from the inside out.

What is A2A all about?

Acts 2 Alliance (A2A) is a relational network of churches united by a simple calling: love Jesus and love people.

We’re convinced that we thrive when we’re connected, learning from one another, encouraging each other, and exploring new ways to reach our world.

Every A2A church carries the same heartbeat, yet each one reflects the community it’s part of. No two look the same — and that’s the beauty of it.

From urban hubs to regional towns and rural spaces, we’re a collective of churches walking together, building healthy communities of faith that genuinely love Jesus and love people. 🤍

Meet one of our A2A churches in regional NSW.

Say hello to Christian Life Church, Kyogle, a vibrant church community in the Northern Rivers. ❤

Led by the incredible James and Danni Howes, this co-vocational pastoral team carries an extraordinary heart for people. Both serve as teachers in local schools, faithfully investing in the next generation while leading and mobilising their church to impact Kyogle and the surrounding region.

They played a significant role in the response and recovery during the 2022 Northern Rivers floods and continue to be a blessing to their community.

Danni also serves on the A2A National Leadership Board as a Director and Secretary, contributing to the wider movement.

Their mission reflects the ministry of Jesus—to reach, love, teach, heal, and mobilise.
🌿 If you’re passing through the Northern Rivers, Kyogle is well worth the stop. Known as the Gateway to the Rainforest, it’s the perfect base to explore the stunning surrounding national parks.

Today on ANZAC Day, we pause to remember and honour those who laid down their lives so that others may live in freedom.

The Bible reminds us of the greatest expression of love:
“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

On this ANZAC Day, we reflect not only on sacrifice in battle, but on the deeper truth of sacrificial love.

As we remember the fallen,

Let us never forget the cost of freedom.
Let us never forget the power of sacrifice.

Lest we forget.

A2A are passionate about equipping disciples who make disciples, training leaders who raise leaders, and encouraging churches to plant churches.

To support A2A churches and their leadership, we’ve developed key tools to help support, grow, lead, and step into the path God has laid out for you.

Some of these are:

🔹 Leadership Essentials
A self-paced online program designed to equip emerging leaders to lead well, first themselves, and then others.

🔹 ELI (Emerging Leaders Initiative)
A two-year immersive leadership journey calling leaders into depth, maturity, ministry, and obedience within a deeply relational community.

🔹 The Harrison Report
A personalised insight into your unique gifting and design—highlighting strengths, uncovering growth areas, and providing clear pathways to become a resilient leader aligned with God’s purpose for your life.

🔹 Enhance
A relational consultation process designed to help your church navigate its current season and uncover healthy, purposeful pathways forward.

We don’t just want to see growth; we want to see multiplication.
