In 2014, I walked to Canberra, towing a boat, with three Asylum Seekers. Along the way we share our stories, experiences Australia at its best (being welcome by people and given exceptional hospitality and support)… was ashamed the government at the time didn’t reflect that… however there were individuals MPs who have been hosting the boat in their office… so so the boat has been floating among the offices at Parliament House till this day! The boat my father, sister and I left Vietnam on was nothing like the cruise ship in ‘The Love Boat’. Everyone was always smiling, and there were lots of laughter, which we didn’t understand as we watch this on the television show on our first television given to us at the migrant hostel. It’s a strange new world. The theme song became one of my ‘changing tracks’ reminding me of these early days in Australia…

This Sunday, we gather together as a church family to celebrate all that God has been doing in and through our community, and to prayerfully look ahead to where He may be leading us next.

Throughout the morning, we’ll worship through song, hear stories from people across our church and community, and reflect together on God’s faithfulness. There will also be an opportunity to give a once-off offering toward the mission and ministry of our church, as well as an invitation to share how you sense God leading us into the future.

Local café Joy Ride Café will have a coffee cart in the foyer from 9:00am, serving barista-made coffee and hot drinks from $5, along with delicious Danish pastries for breakfast. Come early, relax at the tables, and enjoy time connecting with others before the service begins.

Invite your neighbours, friends, and family — at God’s table, there is always room for one more chair. We’d love for you to join us for this special Sunday 😊

The Celebration Service will begin at 10:00am as usual.

Join us for our worship gathering this Sunday at 10am, as Tiffany Gilmour continues our series in Acts, looking at the early church and the power of the Holy Spirit. This week, we’ll be exploring Acts 1:6–14 and considering what it means to be the church empowered by the Spirit.

There will be Kids’ Church this Sunday, with children heading out partway through the service.

We’ll worship God together through music, Bible readings and prayer.
