National Reconciliation Week 2026 starts next week!

Mark this important moment with your community, 27 May to 3 June, to reflect, listen deeply, and take action together for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander justice.

Sign up for our 2026 National Reconciliation Week Resource Toolkit, developed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Christian Leaders, to help your church community, small group or classroom engage and reflect on our 2026 theme ‘All In: Reciprocity as Reconciliation’.

This toolkit features a recorded reflection from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Christian Leaders, Safina Stewart and Aunty Donna Meehan, exploring what it truly means to be ‘All In’ for reconciliation - and why reciprocity is at its heart.

Other resources include an Acknowledgement of Country guide, Bible readings, a prayer video, a creative activity and a benediction.

It is with the deepest sadness, on behalf of Elisa and Hunter, that we announce David Stone suffered a massive heart attack last week, and passed away on Tuesday 5th May.

Our deepest sympathies and prayers are with the whole family. We love you and our hearts break for you at this time. We are here to walk with you through this most difficult of times.

The hospital staff at the Intensive Care Unit were kind and extremely professional. They did everything they could for David, but unfortunately there was nothing else that could be done.

Funeral details are being organised at the moment, and details will be available soon.

David was a wonderful husband, father, brother, son, teacher, friend and fellow traveler, and we miss him deeply.

ŪRBAN LIFE Break-in Appeal
Urban Life Care BSB 633 000 ACC 145 104 204

As many of you are aware, the Urban Life building was broken into last weekend and vandalised.
Victoria Police, insurers, repairers, cleaners and volunteers were all involved in the aftermath.

TV’s were smashed, carpets ruined, food and paint splashed all over the floors and windows.
Some items were stolen, including our petty cash tin, 5x MacBook laptops that were intended for refugee families, 2x iPads, a PlayStation and other equipment. Food and other items for our food pantry and community meals program were wasted or spoiled.

After a hard week with many disruptions to our services (including community meals, food pantry, narcotics anonymous, counseling, and of course our Sunday gathering) the Urban is now back up and running.

Insurance has covered a lot of our expenses, but many of you have messaged to find out how you can make a financial contribution.

The best place to donate is through Urban Life Care (BSB 633 000, ACC 145 104 204)

If you give us your details, donations over $2 are tax deductible.
Thank you!

CHRUCH CANCELLED THIS MORNING.

Never a dull moment at the Urban!
We arrived this morning to find that we have been broken into and vandalised.

There is too much broken glass and mess to clean up for us to operate this morning. We are waiting for the police to arrive.

Stay tuned for updates, and please pray for those who use this facility that may be affected. Pray also for the people who have done this.

Grace and peace everyone.
