Phones in church: helpful tool or major distraction? 📱

Some people use their phones to follow Bible verses, take notes, and engage more deeply during worship. Others feel screens can make it harder to stay present and focused.

What do you think? Should phones be allowed during worship services?

We tend to picture worship in neat, predictable places. A church. A stage. A moment that feels put together.

Scripture tells a different story.

Some of the most powerful moments of worship didn’t happen in comfort. They happened in prisons, deserts, storms, and situations that made no sense at the time.

Which means this:

Worship isn’t about the setting.
It’s about recognising God in the middle of whatever you’re facing.

So if life feels messy, uncertain, or completely off track right now… you’re actually in a place where worship still counts.

Maybe even more than ever.

Forgiveness can be an act of worship.

Not because what happened was okay. Not because it did not hurt. But because choosing to release bitterness and trust God with your pain takes deep faith.

Sometimes worship sounds like singing. Sometimes it looks like grace.

Sometimes sickness, distance, exhaustion, caring responsibilities, anxiety, weather, work, or life circumstances make getting to church difficult.

But worship was never limited to a building.

God still meets people in lounge rooms, hospital beds, remote towns, parked cars, quiet walks, and tired hearts. Sometimes worship looks like singing with a congregation. Other times it looks like a whispered prayer, an online service, opening your Bible, or simply sitting quietly with God for a few moments.

If you can’t get to church right now, you are not forgotten, and you are not spiritually failing. 💛 Here are a few ways you can still make Sabbath feel special.

Worship does not always happen inside four walls.

Sometimes it happens around a campfire, beside the ocean, on a hiking track, under the stars, or in the quiet moments where creation reminds us just how big God is.

Different places. Different styles. Same God. 🌿✨

What comes to mind when you hear the word worship?

For a lot of people, it’s music. But worship is bigger than a playlist or a church setlist. 🎶

Liv Carrasco shares how worship can shape the way we live, connect, serve, and spend time with God every day.

Ever checked the time during a sermon and immediately hoped nobody else noticed?

Turns out most people have a quiet running commentary happening in their head during worship sometimes. Hunger, distractions, questions, trying to keep up with a new song, wondering if you stood up at the wrong moment… it’s more normal than anyone admits.

Having those thoughts doesn’t mean worship isn’t working.

God isn’t waiting for perfect concentration. He’s inviting your presence.

Spiritual maturity often begins when you realise worship isn’t limited to a building or a time on Sabbath.
You don’t have to wait until church to worship.
You can worship in the ordinary moments, the quiet prayers, the choices you make each day, and the way you live with God beside you.
Church is where we worship together.
Life is where we keep worship going.
