Seventh-day Adventist Children and Family Ministries Australia Faith. Family. Fun. Walking with Jesus at every age and stage.

14/06/2026

What started as a simple family walk turned into a special reminder of God's leading.

Children's Ministries Director Amy Cherry and her family recently headed outdoors for a walk, and along the way captured a little video to share with us.

Psalm 37:23 reminds us, "The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives."

Whether we're exploring a bush track, navigating a busy week, or simply taking the next step in faith, God is with us, guiding the journey one step at a time. πŸŒΏπŸ’œ

We're building a community of contributors who are willing to open a window into their lives and share what worship looks like in different seasons. Whether it's a family worship tradition, a Sabbath adventure, a morning devotional routine, or simply finding God in everyday moments, we'd love to hear from you and help share your story.

🌿 Every Sabbath Has a Story

Some are hilarious.
Some are deeply meaningful.
Some involve forgotten lunches, unexpected adventures, or children saying things at church that still make the family laugh years later.
Others are moments of worship, friendship, faith and God's quiet presence that have stayed with you ever since.

We're looking for real stories from real families to feature in our new Sabbath Memories series.

Whether your memory is funny, moving, chaotic, inspiring, or somewhere in between, we'd love to hear it.

By sharing your story, you'll help preserve the experiences, traditions and faith moments that make Sabbath special and encourage families across Australia and beyond.

πŸ’œ Tell us about:
πŸ“– A Sabbath you'll never forget
πŸ˜‚ A funny Sabbath moment
πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ A family tradition you treasure
πŸ™ A moment God felt especially close
β›ͺ Someone who helped shape your faith journey

Drop your story in the comments or send us a message.

Because today's memory could become tomorrow's encouragement.

With a little glue, some imagination and a few craft supplies, ordinary popsicle sticks can be transformed into Noah's Ark, complete with Noah, animals, clouds and a rainbow. It's a great reminder that God often uses ordinary things in extraordinary ways.

This fun craft helps children explore the story of Noah while getting creative and building something they can proudly display at home.

What is the most creative thing you've ever made from popsicle sticks?

πŸ“šβœ¨ Nostalgic Moment βœ¨πŸ“š

Before tablets, streaming services and bedtime playlists, many of us drifted off to sleep listening to stories from books like Uncle Arthur's Bedtime Stories or My Bible Friends.

Perhaps you remember Selfish Sandy, a story about guardian angels, or a favourite Bible character who felt like an old friend.

Those stories didn't just help us fall asleep. They helped shape our faith, our values and some of our favourite childhood memories.

πŸ’ We'd love to hear from you...

What was your favourite bedtime story growing up?

πŸ‘‡ Share your answer in the comments and let's take a trip down memory lane together.

πŸ’œ Happy Sabbath!

Sabbath is a weekly reminder that our value isn't found in how much we accomplish, but in whose we are.

Today, may you find time to rest, worship, laugh, connect, and enjoy the blessings God has placed around you.

Whether your Sabbath is spent in church, around the table with family, exploring nature, or simply taking a much-needed breath from a busy week, may it draw you closer to Jesus and the people you love.

🌿 Rest.
πŸ™ Worship.
❀️ Connect.
✨ Be refreshed.

Wishing you a peaceful and joy-filled Sabbath from all of us at Australian Union Conference.

Most of us worry about how much time our children spend on screens.

But what about us?

Children learn more from what we model than what we say. If we're constantly checking notifications, emails and social media, they're paying attention.

The good news is that both Apple and Android devices include built-in tools that can help families create healthier screen habits. App timers, downtime settings and bedtime modes can help everyone be a little more intentional with their technology use.

Imagine what your family could do with an extra hour each day.
