This Sunday 9th August we celebrate Holy Spirit School's 50th Anniversary with a mass at 9.00 am celebrated by Bishop Thinh.

Special guests include Matt Gregg the Federal Member of Parliament and Nicole Werner MP the local member for Warrandyte along with past Parish Priests and staff members attending.

A morning tea will follow where you can catch up with previous members of the school and Parish. We hope to see as many Parishioners and school families as possible.

🎉 Something exciting is happening at Holy Spirit! 🎉

Our brand new 5/6 playground is being installed and we are thrilled to see this exciting project becoming a reality!

This playground is part of the Holy Spirit Fete planned project — a project made possible through the incredible support of our parish and school community. Thanks to the early delivery, our children will be able to enjoy this fantastic new space even sooner than expected!

This will be more than just a playground. It will be a place where our children can laugh, play, build friendships and create wonderful memories together for years to come❤️

While the playground has arrived, it still needs to be paid for and this is where our community support is so important. The success of the Holy Spirit Community Fete will help us bring this project across the finish line.

🍲 Meals for Maroondah Winter Shelter 2026 ❄️

Help us spread a little warmth this winter! 💙

We’re inviting the Holy Spirit Parish and wider community to support the Maroondah Winter Shelter by cooking a meal on a Friday night between now and 28 August. It’s a simple way to make a big difference for those in need.

We need volunteers for:

🍝 Main Meals
🍰 Desserts, Cakes & Hot Vegetables

Meals can be dropped off at Holy Spirit Church on Fridays between 3:15–3:45 pm or 5:00–5:30 pm.

Don’t miss this opportunity to exhibit your work of art with our community: Submit today!

You are invited to submit your work of art in our established community exhibition by 30th June. Entering its 5th year of celebrating art created by artists of all ages and abilities – from established to first time exhibitors, this is your opportunity to exhibit, or even sell, your work inspired by Life as You See It in whatever the genre you express yourself with.

You don’t have to be a parishioner to submit an art piece. All are welcome!

CHRISTMAS MASS TIMES FOR HOLY SPIRIT, ST GERARD AND ST ANNE’S

Combined Parishes Forgiveness Service: Tuesday 16th December at 7.00 pm at St Anne’s

Community Carols will be held before each Mass at Holy Spirit
Christmas Eve:
5.00 pm Children’s Mass, Holy Spirit Church
6.00 pm Mass, St Anne’s Church, Park Orchards
7.30 pm Family Mass, Holy Spirit Church
9.00 pm Mass, St Gerard’s Church, Warrandyte
10.30 pm Mass, Holy Spirit Church

Christmas Day:
9.00 am Mass at both Holy Spirit and St Anne’s

Please note that the Parish House Office will close 4pm on Tuesday 23rd December and reopen on Tues-day 13th January 2026. There will be no copies of The Word produced however, there will be copies of the readings for those weekends available on the table in the Church foyer.

The last Sunday 5pm mass for Holy Spirit will be on Sunday 21st December.

There will be no Sunday 5pm masses held in January. These will resume on Sunday 1st February 2026.

VINNIES CHRISTMAS DINNER APPEAL
We are delivering Christmas Hampers and children’s gifts on Saturday 6th December.

The Christmas hampers are made up of non-perishable foods. We would also like to provide funds for the families to purchase perishable food, e.g. meat, vegetables and fruit.

On the foyer table there is a box of envelopes—Christmas Dinner Appeal.

If you would like to contribute, please take an envelope, place your offering in it and return it to next weekend’s masses and place in the Offertory bag.
