Hi Messy Families!

It was a wonderful session at Messy Church last Saturday afternoon/evening! 108 gathered for a terrific time exploring the Easter story.

This email is to share some of the images captured from the myriad crafts, sumptuous dinner and important message of Jesus' love and sacrifice for all of us.

One highlight from me....A senior member of the leadership team had two brand new Junior Leaders to work with on Saturday night. At the end of the evening he was effusive in his praise of their efforts. Such a delight!!

Enjoy the photos!

Have a great week!!

Greetings Messy Church Family!

The March Messy event is upcoming this Saturday afternoon 28th March 4.30pm at NRUC.

The Easter story is the most impactful story in all of human history. Our God enters time and space as a baby to teach us how to live, correct our faulty thinking and take the penalty for our sins - past, present and future. Jesus enables us to have an eternal relationship with Him.

You can't beat John 3:16 at this time of the year -

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

There are plenty of wonderful activities and Celebration time should be a hoot!

Trev has organised a wonderful meal of lamb and salad in Mexican boats followed by ice-cream and of course Easter eggs!
We really hope you can join us!

Blessings

Greetings Messy Church Family!

After a whopping January Messy Church last month, our February Messy event is upcoming this Saturday afternoon 28th February 4.30pm at NRUC

This session explores the story of The Woman at the Well. Here we meet a seriously impressive person! Despite her mistakes of the past, this unnamed woman quickly recognises Jesus as the Messiah. Upon believing in Him she rushes off to her townsfolk and, as a result of her evangelistic ferver, is a conduit to a mass conversion event. Similar to last month, Jesus merciful interaction, has a spectacular outcome reminding us that we have an obligation to extend mercy and love to all we meet.

The entire interaction of the Woman at the Well is found in John Chapter 4 verses 1-42. It's a terrific story and certainly worth the read. Many important statements are made in this story. A favoured part is verses 25-26, where Jesus declares Himself to be the Messiah, prompting the woman to leave her water jar and return to the township, already changed!

25 The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.” 26 Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you—I am he.”

There are plenty of wonderful activities and Celebration time should be a hoot!
Trev returns to Messy this month cooking up a fabulous dinner for us to enjoy!

We really hope you can join us!

The posted flyer and bible story are attached as well as a link to a family-friendly video.

Messy Church last Saturday afternoon and evening was an absolute hoot! We explored the story of the crippled man at the Pool of Bethesda. Despite no evidence of a faith, Jesus recognised his need and mercifully healed him, changing his life for ever.

We are reminded of the verses of Lamentations 3:22-23

22 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

There were many highlights in a wonderful session. These included

- 111 people enjoyed the airconditioned facilities on a very warm day
- the activities were especially messy and thought provoking
- our wonderful Junior Leaders excelled with both generosity and skill especially with the activity and meal times
- we celebrated the 3rd birthday of a delightful young lady who had chosen to attend Messy as part of her special day
- the devouring of 49 family pizzas, garlic bread and icy-poles

It was just a lovely way to start the year at North Ringwood Uniting Messy Church.
Our next session is the 28th of February. Can't Wait!!

Hi Everyone!!

Messy Church is on again this upcoming Saturday afternoon, the 13th of December, as we celebrate Christmas at North Ringwood Uniting!
The Gospel of Luke Chapter 2: 1-20 tells us the story.

The Birth of Jesus
2 In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken of the entire Roman world. 2 (This was the first census that took place while[a] Quirinius was governor of Syria.) 3 And everyone went to their own town to register. 4 So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. 5 He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. 6 While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, 7 and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. 8 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. 9 An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” 16 So they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby, who was lying in the manger. 17 When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, 18 and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them. 19 But Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things they had heard and seen, which were just as they had been told.

Should be a great night celebrating this most significant of events in the journey of humanity.

Timing is a little different this month -
Activities begin at 5.30pm
Sausage sizzle dinner is available from 6.00pm
Carols service begins at 7pm
There is an offering available towards the Christmas Bowl Appeal. (The Square device will be

Hi Everyone!!

Messy Church is on again this upcoming Saturday afternoon, the 22nd of November - 4.30-6.30pm at North Ringwood Uniting!

The theme for this and next month is CHRISTMAS!

The Gospel of Luke tells us the story.

I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. 11 Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”

13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

15 When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.”

Should be a great night celebrating this most significant of events in the journey of humanity.

Hi Everyone!!

Messy Church is on this Saturday afternoon, the 18th of October, 4.30-6.30pm at North Ringwood Uniting!
The theme this month is WHO IS GOD and WHAT IS HE LIKE?
Psalm 139 beautifully describes the character of God. An excerpt is found in versus 1 to 6:

You have searched me, Lord,
and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
4 Before a word is on my tongue
you, Lord, know it completely.
5 You hem me in behind and before,
and you lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.

Should be a terrific session!
We have a gourmet sausage sizzle planned with plenty of choices to boot to conclude our evening together.
Really home you can join us!!
