Churches of Christ in NSW & ACT

Churches of Christ in NSW & ACT We are the churches of Christ in NSW & ACT, passionate about unity, restoration and life in Jesus! The churches of Christ has existed in NSW for over 170 years.

The churches of Christ in NSW & ACT is a network of churches across two states that’s all about seeking Unity, Restoration, and Life in Jesus! Our heritage and background has a strong evangelical commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our network of over 60 churches is small enough to adapt to the changes taking place within our world, while remaining strategic in focus. We embrace a variety of cultural churches, and offer significant benefits to new churches seeking affiliation and partnership. Within this framework, we have traditional churches, large churches, emerging churches, contemporary churches, house churches and a variety of missional communities. Our commitment is to ensure that regardless of the 'shape' of the church, that we clearly empower and facilitate the community in effectively engaging Australian's with the life-transforming Christian message. "Churches of Christ" is a movement/network of churches, specifically structured to empower local churches. Each church is led by local leaders and as such, has the freedom to explore their own vision within their community context. This model creates diversity and flexibility; while still calling our member churches to promote scriptural basics for church life including biblical baptism, the celebration of communion (or the Lord's supper) and the mutual ministry of all God's people. Our story encompasses a strong commitment to leadership development and service. We believe that the church is a God designed community engaged in the restoration and redemption of our world. Staff within churches of Christ NSW & ACT are constantly reviewing our practices within a framework of continuous improvement to 'value add' services to our churches, camping experiences, nursing homes, welfare partnerships and ministries. We invite you to join us in a journey of partnership as together we seek to serve into God's purposes across this great nation.

Are you a leader or staff member in one of our local churches? This invitation is for you!

Hear from Leader Health and Development leader on our Network Resource Team, Adrian, as he shares about the Leadership Health and Resilience Survey. It’s a chance to check in on how our pastors, ministry leaders, staff and elders are really doing.

This is not to assess or rank, just to understand, so we can support you better. It's confidential, fully subsidised, and open to anyone in leadership at a local church.

The more of us who take part, the clearer the picture, and the better equipped we are to support our leaders well.

The team at Global Mission Partners is running their Safe Water September campaign for 2026 and you can be part of it! Sign up for the challenge or donate to the cause - just follow the links on the Safe Water September page or visit safewaterseptember.org.au

Giving up your go-to caffeine fix for 30 days is a massive flex. But what does the money you raise actually do?

It doesn’t just buy a temporary fix. The funds you raise go straight to our on-the-ground partners in Zimbabwe and Vanuatu, to build sustainable safe water and hygiene projects. 🛠️

We're talking boreholes that will flow for years. Sanitation programs that keep kids healthy and in school. And safe water access that means women and children no longer have to spend hours walking dangerous, exhausting miles every single day.

Your one month of saying "just water, thanks" creates a ripple effect that completely transforms a community’s future for generations. 🌍💧

Ready to build something that lasts? Start fundraising today - https://safewaterseptember.org.au/
