Plans for the new Bankstown Hospital currently don’t include a dedicated Christian prayer space.

With thousands of Christians across Canterbury-Bankstown, a dedicated chapel would provide a place of comfort, prayer and worship for patients, families, visitors and staff.

A petition is calling for a Christian prayer space to be established at the new hospital. With more than 2,600 verified signatures already, you can add your voice.

To fathers, grandfathers, godfathers, stepfathers, spiritual fathers and all those who have been a fatherly presence in someone’s life: thank you for the difference you make.

May God bless you abundantly and fill your hearts and homes with His love, joy and peace.

Happy Father’s Day!

Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of fathers and father figures who love, guide, protect and encourage us.

Bless all fathers in our parish and throughout our community. Give them strength in times of difficulty, wisdom in their decisions, patience in their daily lives and joy in the precious moments they share with their families.

We pray especially for fathers who are grieving, separated from their children or carrying burdens known only to You. May they feel Your love and presence close to them.

For fathers who have gone before us, may they rest in Your eternal peace.

May every father be reminded today of the beautiful gift and responsibility of fatherhood.

Amen.

Despite the power outage, we still had a lovely Father’s Day mass followed by a delicious burger night! 🍔

A huge thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who helped make the evening happen, and to everyone who came along and enjoyed a burger with us.

Sometimes you just have to make the best of a blackout! 😉🔦
