On Father’s Day pastor James shared a message “To Future Fathers”.

Fatherhood isn’t about being perfect. It’s about faithfully reflecting our Heavenly Father by being present, leading with love, shaping our children’s hearts and pointing them to Jesus.

We will all fail, but there is grace to become the fathers God has called us to be.

We thank God for our fathers and celebrate them. 💚

On Sunday we welcomed back guest speaker Les Crawford who continued our series in Romans, looking at Romans 8:12–17.

We were reminded that living by the Spirit means two things: fortifying our minds by setting them on Jesus and mortifying the flesh by putting to death the things that lead us away from God. With God’s Spirit dwelling in us, both are possible.

If you missed Sunday’s message, you can catch up on our YouTube or Facebook channels.

See you this Sunday for our Father’s Day service with Pastor James.

What a night.

A chance to pause from the chaos of life, come together and recentre ourselves on Jesus through worship, prayer and sharing what God has been doing in our lives.

Thankful for our first Thrive Worship Night. We can’t wait to do it again!

On Sunday, Pastor James continued our series through the book of Romans. Looking at Romans 8:1–11, we were reminded that becoming a Christian means the Holy Spirit comes to live in us, and we begin to live in the Spirit.

Our status is changed; there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ.

Our mindset is changed; we no longer live for ourselves, but begin to set our minds on the things of the Spirit.

Our life is changed; the Spirit dwells in us, giving us the power to put sin to death.

So let’s be a people who live in the Spirit.

Habakkuk prayed: “Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known” - Habakkuk 3:2

As a church, we’re reminded to ask God to do it again. To see Him repeatedly move, save and transform lives.

When we remember what God has done, we can ask Him to move again. Sunday’s baptism was the perfect reminder of this. Jesus still saves and God is still moving.

So let us ask God, to do it again.
