Last weekend was the end of competitions for the NW Cali Stars & what an amazing Sunday morning it was. For families & friends who came to watch they were treated to an amazing morning of performances from all these Cali Stars. 🤩💜
This program showcases the most heart warming performances of students who have been given the opportunity to shine on stage with so much care, understanding, time, space so that they feel supported to show their love of calisthenics.
Thanks to the audience for their encouragement of each performance. Every single performer come off stage with the biggest smile & sense of achievement👏🏻😍🤩
To the coaches of these performers for your continued understanding & support. Backstage was so supportive from every coach, parent & performer everyone was fabulous to give people space but also support & encouragement.
Thank you to both Adjudicators we had at the NW competitions for being open & supportive to the performers. Thank you Lenore (wk 1) & Melinda (wk3) we know you both were blown away with the routines presented. We also hope Emily from CV enjoyed her morning with us and got to witness these wonderful performances as well.
As amazing as the students were there was one amazing young lady that we needs to get a special shout out, she went above & beyond to help a Cali Star student perform on the day. Lily a shy young performer who travelled a long distance to a Cali Stars competition, last year wasnt able to perform on stage but finally went on stage & performed with with the curtains closed for the adjudicator. Her mum didn’t get to watch her except for the videos our team took backstage for her mum to keep. Lily’s mum reached out & asked if anyone could assist her this year on the day so that she might be able to perform & Ella from K&K said straight away I am happy to help her. She made contact with them, learnt her routine & what Lily needed backstage to keep her calm & happy. Ella performed on stage with Lily in her black leotard, leggins & a purple practise skirt so that she matched Lily but didn’t take away from the fact it was Lily’s performance.
Ella helped her perform in her beautiful tangled graceful, she held her hand when she did her balance work & supported her throughout the whole routine. Ella you are one amazing, beautiful, kind hearted student, performer & coach who took on this challenge with grace, support & care to ensure Lily got the best outcome on the day, which was to perform. You are one in a million Ella, you know how hard it is to perform a solo & how much it meant for Lily to get to do it. Lily & her mum could not have thanked Ella enough for her kindness, encouragement & support. To see both Lily & her mums faces after her performance was what makes it all worthwhile. Ella’s love for calisthenics & helping others is what makes her a beautiful person & her understanding given to Lily was truely fabulous. An absolutely awesome Cali Stars moment to always remember 🤩💜🥰
