🍽 If you'd like to bring something, we'd love to include it! But please don't feel forced otherwise.

We ALL have a loving Father in heaven to celebrate this Father's Day (and every day) AS WELL as all the physical fathers.

❗️We recognise this may be a harder day for some, so we extend our special compassion towards those.
For everyone attending, we hope you enjoy and pray you find it to be a time of comfort and fellowship!

The actions taken by the Father at the end of the prodigal son parable are very significant! (Luke 15:21-22).

1️⃣ Clothing him in a robe represents status and righteousness (Isaiah 61:10),
2️⃣ The ring symbolises authority (Genesis 41:42),
3️⃣ The sandals symbolise freedom, as slaves generally did not have footwear. (In this case, a slave to sin.)

This is important because it parallels how God the Father cares for people when they return to Him. Not only are we forgiven, but we are restored with righteousness, authority, and freedom.
Everything Jesus said had significance, and this is one subtle yet incredible example!
