Members of the the broader Avon Valley community will have the privilege of welcoming the Most Rev'd Stephen Cottrell, Archbishop of York, to the region on Tuesday, 20th October. He will lead and preach at a service in Holy Trinity Church, York. The service will commence at 11.30 am with lunch to follow.

The Archbishop is the second most senior bishop of the Church of England. It is a distinct honour, privilege and joy to have him as a visitor to our region.

An invitation is extended to all members of the region to attend the service and to enjoy lunch with him.

This Sunday, 6th September during our 9.00 am service we will have the great joy and privilege of welcoming through Holy Baptism, seven children, into the Church, that which is the Body of Christ. Furthermore, five of the children will be welcomed then to receive Holy Communion, that which Jesus instituted at his Last Supper and commanded all to gather for in ongoing memory of him. Let us never forget that the Eucharist/Holy Communion/Lord's Supper/Mass is being celebrated each and every day at each and ever hour of the day!

Fifth Sunday in the Month: The Combined Anglican Churches’ Service will take place at St Mary’s Church, Beverley on Sunday 30th August at 10 a.m. with a “bring and share” lunch to follow. The Service will commemorate “The Martyrs of New Guinea." There will be no service at St Faith's Church, Quairading.

Celebrating 15 Years of an Iconic Quairading Community Project:
The Labyrinth, St Faith’s Church, Harris Street, Quairading


All arew elcome to come and be reminded of, or see for the first time, the enormous energy and community spirit that went into building the stunning Labyrinth at St Faith’s Church.

The Celebrations are on Friday, 11th September
5.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m. with the Visual Presentation commencing at 6 p.m.

Cheese, W**e and Goodies supplied!

Everyone, young, middle aged and older, are most welcome!

On Saturday, 15th August, at 5.30 p.m. the Feast of Ss Priscilla and Aquila, who are the patron saints of marriage, will be celebrated. All married couples are invited to attend the service, giving thanks for their married life.

Earlier in the week at 6.00 p.m. on Thursday, 13th August the Feast of Mary, Mother of our Lord, will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church, York. This Feast Day is also the Patronal Festival of St Mary's Anglican School in Perth. Those with associations with the school are most welcome to join local congregants at the service.

This Sunday, 2nd August, we welcome Bishop Kate Wilmot to St Faith's Church. She will preside and preach at the service which will be held at the later time of 10.00 a.m. After the service there will be a "bring and share" lunch.

The service will commemorate "The Transfiguration of Jesus"; an event described in the New Testament where Jesus is transfigured and becomes radiant in glory upon a mountain. In the Gospel accounts, Jesus and three of his apostles, Peter, James, and John, go to a mountain (the Mount of Transfiguration) to pray. On the mountaintop, Jesus begins to shine with bright rays of light. Then the Old Testament figures Moses and Elijah appear, and he speaks with them. They symbolize the Law and the prophets, respectively. Jesus is then called "Son" by the voice of God the Father, as in the Baptism of Jesus.

The transfiguration is one of the miracles of Jesus in the Gospels and one of the five major milestones in the gospel narrative of the life of Jesus, the others being baptism, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension.

The Parish of York looks forward to welcoming the WA Branch Bellringers on Saturday, 25th July from 10 am to join with its own growing number of bellringers to ring the peal of eight bells at Holy Trinity Church.

All are welcome to call by to the Church. The gathering will include the teaching of beginners, lunch and a Quarter Peal after lunch. Our visitors should have left by 2pm for some will have weddings to ring for in Perth.

Visit of Bishop Kate to St Faith's Church, Quairading Our Regional Bishop Bishop Kate Wilmot will conduct a10.00 a.m. Service on Sunday, 2nd August at St Faith's Church, Quairading. During the service we will celebrate the significance of the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ before three of his disciples. After the service there will be a "bring and share" meal. All are welcome.
