Blessing of the Plough – With the planting of crops commencing in the Valley we commence our Blessing of Plough ceremonies. Tonight at 5.30 p.m. at St Mary's Church, Beverley I presided at the first of my sixteen Holy Week and Easter Day services across four major centres of the Avon Valley. While it requires a significant amount of driving it is a privilege and joy to offer to the people of the Avon Valley and Central Wheatbelt an opportunity to participate in the most sacred time of the Christian Year when we recall Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem as we enter into the Passion of Christ — his Crucifixion, death and Resurrection — through liturgical celebration and personal conversion. Might there be those whose Faith will be awakened, refreshed and renewed!
All are welcome to join in these celebrations.

Last Friday, 27th February the congregation at St Faith's Church had the joy of hosting the visit of 45 pilgrims to the Church's labyrinth. The pilgrims who undertook the pilgrimage as part of their Lenten discipline came from Scarborough, Woodlands and Wembley Downs. On arrival they were offered a morning tea of scones, jam and cream and drinks. After a short Service of Welcome the pilgrims had an opportunity to walk the labyrinth.

Having completed their walk and enjoyed some prayerful silence in the Church the group adjourned to the Quairading Hotel for lunch where delicious preordered meals were ready. After lunch they had an opportunity to visit the local Museum.

Comments from many of the pilgrims were very positive about their experience. It was certainly a lovely experience for the Parish and our trust is that other groups will wish to undertake something similar.
