Our Lady of Sorrows Novena Day 1
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Dear Lord, we thank You for giving us Our Lady of Sorrows to be our loving mother. We ask You to hear the petitions she brings before Your throne on our behalf.

Our Lady of Sorrows, your Son gave you to us to be our mother also. We can look to your perfect example of virtuous living and holy motherhood. In your motherly love for us, you can help us through your powerful intercession. We ask you to bring all of our prayers before the throne of your Son, and we particularly ask today that you pray that God may bless and protect all mothers.

Pray for us, that we may imitate your holy example in all that we do. Pray that we may grow closer to your Son each day of our lives.

And we especially ask in this novena for (mention your intentions here).

Our Lady of Sorrows, pray for us!

صلاة يوم الجمعة أكراماً لجروحات قلب يسوع الأقدس

يا قلب يسوع الهي المسجود له الممتلئ قداسة ورحمة .انني أجسر ان اهدي لك قلبي، لأنك قلب قدوس القديسين وما قلبي الا ضعيف ومائل الى الخطأ ومع ذلك فإني واثق بأن رحمتك الغريزة تقبله مني لتطهره وتصلحه وتقدسه.

يا معلمي المحبوب اني اهدي لقلبك الأقدس ذاتي بجملتها وكل ما أنا حاصل عليه واملكه اي حياتي و موتي وعقلي وتمييزي وضميري ومخيلتي وارادتي ولا سيما قلبي مع جميع حركاته وأشواقه، أهدي لك جسدي وحواسي وأقوالي وأعمالي وجميع أشغالي وأفراحي وآلامي، وبالنتيجة اني اهدي ذاتي واكرسها بجملتها لقلبك الأقدس من الآن وحتى الأبد.

هذا واني بكل سرور اعدك بأني سأكرم قلبك الأقدس وأسجد له كل أيام حياتي وسأجتهد بنشر أسمه واكرامه وجذب القلوب الى محبته.

ان قلبك الألهي الموجود حقيقة مع ناسوتك المقدس تحت السر العجيب سيكون منذ الآن وصاعداً ملجأي وراحتي وتعزيتي ورجائي ومحبتي. يا مخلصي الحبيب ليكن قلبك تتمة سجودي وشكري وصلواتي وتوبتي، وليكن لي كل شيء، أي نوري وقوتي وسندي ومقري وحياتي.

يا يسوع، أنت ذو القلب الشفيق، الكلي الجودة و الصلاح. أنت تراني و تحبني.
أنت رحيم و غفور، إذ لا يمكنك أن ترى الشقاء دون أن ترغب في مداواته.
ها إني أضع كل رجائي فيك، وأثق أنك لن تهملني، وأن نعمك تفوق دائماً آمالي.
فحقق لي يا يسوع، جميع وعودك، وامنحني النعم اللازمة لحالتي، و ألق السلام في عائلتي، و عزني في شدائدي، وكن ملجأي طيلة حياتي و في ساعة موتي.
إن كنت فاتراً في إيماني فإني سأزداد بواسطتك حرارة. أو كنت حاراً فاني سأرتقي درجات الكمال أنعم علي يا يسوع بنعمة.
خاصة ألين بها القلوب القاسية، وأنشر عبادة قلبك الأقدس. واكتب اسمي في قلبك المعبود، كي لا يمحى إلى الأبد.
وأسألك أن تبارك مسكني حيث تكرم صورة قلبك الأقدس.يا يسوع الوديع والمتواضع القلب اجعل قلبنا مثل قلبك الاقدس...

St. Charbel told Nouhad elshami : “Do not be afraid for Lebanon, because Lebanon has been consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.” And if you consecrate yourselves to the Hearts of Mary and Jesus, there will be no reason to fear—for yourselves or for your families.

The importance of renewing our consecration every month is to allow its graces and fruits to continue working in our lives.

Come and consecrate yourselves to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary on Friday, 4 September.

Let us thank the Lord for giving us His Blessed Mother, the Virgin Mary, and let us celebrate her in anticipation of her birthday on 8 September.

When the Angelus bell rings, Heaven awaits your response.

The old church bell used to ring throughout the village.

🥺 Some people ignored it.

🥺 Some were simply too busy.

🥺 Others continued on their way without even looking up.

But there was an elderly Catholic woman named Maria who always stopped whatever she was doing. Whether she was cooking, sweeping the house, or working in the garden, she would quietly bow her head, make the Sign of the Cross, and pray:

🌹 “The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary, and she conceived of the Holy Spirit…” 🌹

One day, her grandchildren asked her, “Grandma, why do you always stop when the bell rings?”

🙂 She smiled gently and said:

“Because this bell does more than call us to prayer. It reminds the whole world that God became man through the humble ‘yes’ of the Virgin Mary. Every time I pray the Angelus, I thank God for the mystery of the Incarnation.”

The years passed…

And one day, Maria peacefully departed this life. 🥹

The church bell rang once again.

As her family gathered in grief, her youngest granddaughter heard the familiar sound of the bell. Without anyone asking her, she stopped, folded her hands, and began praying the Angelus exactly as her grandmother had taught her.

At that moment, everyone joined her.

😭 The home that had been filled with tears was suddenly filled with hope.

For the Angelus is not merely a prayer. It is a daily remembrance that God entered our world out of love. It reminds us that Mary’s humble obedience opened the door for our Savior to come among us. And it invites us to pause, contemplate the mystery of Christ’s Incarnation, and offer our own “yes” to God’s will each day.

When the Angelus bell rings in the morning, at noon, or in the evening, Heaven calls us to stop for a few moments. The world may continue in its busyness, but believers remember the greatest event in history:

🌹 “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” (John 1:14) 🌹

So, the next time you hear the church bell, do not let it be merely a passing sound.

Stop.

Make the Sign of the Cross.

Pray the Angelus.

🥹 Because while the bell rings on earth, Heaven rejoices whenever a human soul remembers the mystery of Christ’s Incarnation.

🌹 “The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary… and the Word became flesh.” 🌹

May every Angelus bell be a reminder for us to lift our hearts to God and to imitate the faith, humility, and obedience of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
