Day 1: Anthony of Padua Novena

O wonderful St. Anthony, glorious on account of the fame of your many miracles and through the sweetness of Jesus coming in the form of a little child to rest in your arms, obtain for me from His bounty the grace which I ardently desire from the depths of my heart. You who were so compassionate toward miserable sinners, regard not the unworthiness of those who pray to you, but the glory of God that it may once again be magnified by the granting of the particular request which I now ask with complete trust in your kindness.

Amen.

O holy St. Anthony, gentlest of saints, your love for God and charity for his creatures made you worthy while on earth to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me the favor I seek in this novena (State your intention). The answer to my prayer may require a miracle; even so, you are the saint of miracles. O gentle and loving Saint Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms, and the gratitude of my heart will always be yours.

Pray one Our Father, one Hail Mary, and Glory Be to the Father, in honor of Saint Anthony.

May the Divine assistance remain always with us. Amen.

May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

O God, may devotion to blessed Anthony, Thy confessor, be a source of joy to Thy Church, that she may always be fortified with spiritual assistance, and deserve to enjoy eternal rewards. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Day 1: Sacred Heart of Jesus Novena

A Heart For Us

Reflection:
Jesus came on earth for us, lived, suffered and died for us; intercedes today with his Father for us. 'For us...and our salvation he came down from heaven... for our sake he was crucified...' (Creed) St Paul reminds us, 'If God is for us who can be against us?'Rom.8:31

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I thank you that you gave your life for me. Help me to live for you and for others.

Novena Prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ, your heart was moved with love for the men and women who came for help in their need. You healed the sick, you fed the hungry, you forgave sinners, you cried over Jerusalem. Above all, you showed to those who were prepared to listen the way to true life, for you are the Way the Truth and the Life.

Lord, your heart is still moved today by your people and their many needs. Open our hearts to hear your word, to accept your love, and to respond to your call. In particular, I beg you to grant me the favour I ask during this novena (make you request), provided that it will contribute to my own eternal good and to the building up of your Kingdom of justice, peace and love here on earth.

HAVE A BLESSED HOLY TRINITY SUNDAY

Today, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, one of the greatest mysteries of our faith. We believe in one God in Three Divine Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Though distinct, they are perfectly united in nature, power, and love.

The Father created us, the Son redeemed us, and the Holy Spirit continues to guide and sanctify us. The Holy Trinity reminds us that God is not distant, but constantly present and active in our lives.

This sacred mystery also teaches us the beauty of unity, love, and self-giving. Just as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit exist in perfect communion, we too are called to live with love, forgiveness, and harmony in our families, communities, and the Church.

Every time we make the Sign of the Cross, we proclaim that we belong to the Triune God. Though the mystery of the Trinity is beyond full human understanding, it invites us not merely to explain God, but to enter into a deeper relationship with Him.

May this Holy Trinity Sunday renew our faith, strengthen our hope, and deepen our love for the God who created us, redeemed us, and remains with us always.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
