Blessed Feast of the Elevation of the Precious and Life-Giving Cross ☦️

As part of the ACOY Ecclesiastical Series, today we commemorate the finding and elevation of the Cross of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Through the Cross, Christ transformed an instrument of death into a source of life, hope and victory, overcoming death and granting us eternal life.

We bow before Your Cross, O Christ, and we glorify Your Holy Resurrection.

Blessed Feast of the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos 🤍

As part of our ACOY Ecclesiastical Series, we begin with the first Great Feast of the new ecclesiastical year.

The Church closes the year with the Dormition of the Theotokos and begins again with her Nativity. From her falling asleep to her birth, the life of the Theotokos beautifully frames the ecclesiastical year and points us always towards Christ.

Born to the righteous Joachim and Anna, her Nativity is a proclamation of joy and the beginning of God’s preparation for the salvation of the world.

Introducing the ACOY Ecclesiastical Series ☦️

As we begin a new ecclesiastical year, we’re excited to introduce a new series exploring the Twelve Great Feasts of the Church.

Throughout the year, we’ll share the story and meaning behind each feast, together with the hymns that have been passed down through the life of the Church.

Our hope is simple: to learn more about what we celebrate, understand why we celebrate it, and grow closer to the life and tradition of our faith.

2026 ACOY Young Adults Retreat

Behold, I stand at the door and knock ☦️

A blessed weekend of faith, friendship, prayer and fellowship. Together we grew closer to Christ, strengthened friendships, made new connections and created memories we will carry with us.

May we continue to open our hearts to Christ and allow Him to guide us each day.

Glory to God for a beautiful weekend together.

As the fire burned, our voices came together in one prayer.

*"Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner."*

One prayer. Repeated with faith. A simple reminder that every time we call upon the name of Christ, we draw closer to Him.

As we learnt the Prayer Rope Chant together around the bonfire, we were reminded of a powerful truth:

"As I say the prayer, my enemy will lose the war."

May this prayer remain on our lips long after the retreat has ended, bringing peace to our hearts, strength in times of temptation, and a constant reminder that Christ is always with us.

Glory to God always. 🤍
