May 21, 2022, Australia faces another Federal Election. Let us continue to pray for our Country, their current leaders, and that those who will stand to represent the people of Australia in the coming government will have humility to learn and shun evil.

“In God We Trust, In God Alone”

We pray for peace and plead for grace.
We bow our knees in humbleness.
We cry to God to heal our land,
“Forgive our sins and cleanse our hands.”

In God we trust, in God alone.
We put our faith in Him Who sits on heaven’s throne.
Though men of earth will rise and fall,
Our only hope is in the Lord of all.
In God we trust,
In God alone.

O let us rest in God’s control
And honour those He put in pow’r
For hearts of kings are in His hand
The nations turn at His command.

Protect the weak, establish law,
Honour the right, punish the wrong;
Let this be true of those who lead.
O men of faith now intercede!

In God we trust, in God alone.
We put our faith in Him Who sits on heaven’s throne.
Though men of earth will rise and fall,
Our only hope is in the Lord of all.
In God we trust,
In God alone.

If persecution soon will come,
Help me to stand if all alone.
And though my life He may call forth,
God’s kingdom is not of this earth.

In God we trust, in God alone.
We put our faith in Him Who sits on heaven’s throne.
Though men of earth will rise and fall,
Our only hope is in the Lord of all.
In God we trust,
In God alone.

The greatest series of supernatural events ever seen on earth began with the birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem. Miracles surrounded Christ’s birth and continued throughout His earthly ministry to bear abundant testimony that “Truly this was the Son of God” (Matthew 27:54).

During this busy Christmas season, let’s pause for a moment to examine the supernatural life of Jesus Christ and to be amazed by God’s supernatural love for all people.
• Jesus Christ was born of a virgin; He had no earthly father. A multitude of angels announced His birth, and a miraculous star led wise men from the east to worship Him.
• During His ministry, Jesus worked miracles of healing, of creation, of controlling nature, of casting out demons, and of bringing dead people back to life.
• When Jesus willingly died on the cross for our sins, an unnatural midday darkness shrouded the earth, an earthquake shook the ground, and the veil in the temple ripped from top to bottom.
• Three days later Jesus arose from the dead, just as He had promised. Later, Jesus ascended bodily from the earth and returned to Heaven while His disciples watched.

So in addition to Jesus’ supernatural birth, He lived a supernatural life, died a supernatural death, arose from the dead, and returned to Heaven, all by supernatural power. Jesus was not just an ordinary man. Jesus Christ was, and is, the eternal God. (Read more about these miracles in the New Testament of the Bible.)

Why, then, did Jesus leave the glory of Heaven to be born in Bethlehem and eventually to die on the cross? It was all because of God’s supernatural love for mankind, a love that extends far beyond any human love. The Bible explains that, “For a good man some [people] would even dare to die. But God commendeth [demonstrates] His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:7-8).

Without that rescuing love, none of us would have any hope of salvation. We are all sinners—“There is none righteous, no, not one”—and the punishment for sin is death (Romans 3:10, 6:23). We cannot save ourselves by good deeds or devout living, for “All our righteousnesses are as filthy rags” in God’s sight (Isaiah 64:6).

Therefore, God provided His Son, Jesus Christ, to bear the punishment of our sins in His own body on the cross. Trusting in Christ’s sacrifice for us is the only way that we can find peace with God and entrance to Heaven. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me” (John 14:6).

If you have never received Jesus Christ as your own personal Savior from sin and its consequences, won’t you do it now? The Bible promises that “Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13). Bow your head in prayer, admitting to God that you are a sinner and that you are ready to turn from your way to His way. Thank God for sending His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross and rise again so that you can have eternal life. Ask Him to forgive you and make you new. Trust His promise of salvation, and rejoice in knowing Him as your Savior and Lord!

You can grow in your relationship with God by communicating with Him each day through Bible reading and prayer, attending a Bible-teaching church, and sharing the good news of God’s love with others.

The most amazing miracle of Christmas is God’s demonstration of His supernatural love for all people through the Lord Jesus Christ. May His love fill your heart with peace and joy this Christmas and always.

“Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;” (Deuteronomy 7:9)

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

“But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3)

“But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.” (Psalms 86:15)

“This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.” (Lamentations 3:21-24)

To a cross, from a throne; in a manger all alone.
A Baby born, a Saviour for a world in desperate need.

Just a Man, yet a King; with no robe or diamond ring
Who spoke of faith no greater than a tiny mustard seed.

He is faithful to heal the wounds we bear,
To see beyond the scars and pain that others only dare,
He is faithful to wash away each sin;
To put the pieces back in place and renew our hearts once again.

By His Word, through the blood; we can claim His gift of love.
And spread the joy of knowing our eternal destiny.

Not by works or just faith; but by His amazing grace
Our Redeemer has commissioned the final victory.

He is faithful to heal the wounds we bear,
To see beyond the scars and pain that others only dare,
He is faithful to wash away each sin;
To put the pieces back in place and renew our hearts once again.

A promise that each one can claim, a hope for all the world to see
All things are possible if we only believe,
Only believe.

He is faithful to heal the wounds we bear,
To see beyond the scars and pain that others only dare,
He is faithful to wash away each sin;
To put the pieces back in place and renew our hearts once again.

To put the pieces back in place and renew our hearts once again.

A GOOD QUESTION TO ASK WHENEVER SOME KIND OF TROUBLE ENTERS YOUR LIFE.
In fact, it is the best way to find the answer to your problems. Of course you could adopt the attitude of bold defiance, and grimly determine to fight against your trials. Or you could just give up with the fatalistic attitude that your troubles are unavoidable anyway. But the best policy is to ask yourself quietly and calmly, “Why did God allow this to come into my life?”

Your first temptation might be to reason that God is punishing you for some sin that you have committed. While this could very possibly be true, it is obviously not the main reason for your distress. If God’s main purpose were punishment, He could have taken your life away altogether. Instead of that, He has purposely extended your life so that your question might be answered.

YOU ASK, “WHY DID THIS HAPPEN TO ME?”
The answer is that God wants to speak to you. Maybe He has tried to speak to you before, but as long as things were going well with you, you weren’t interested in listening. Possibly the only way to get your attention was to allow hard times to come into your life. The truth is, God is so interested in your eternal happiness that He is even willing to permit you to suffer for a short time to get you to listen to what He has to say.

GOD WANTS FOUR THINGS FOR YOU IN THESE TRIALS.
First of all, He wants you to feel your need for help. Second, He wants you to realize your inability to help yourself. Third, He wants you to abandon all hope of obtaining relief from other people. Finally, He wants you to cast yourself on Him and ask Him to save you.

You see, if you had died before now without having Jesus as your Savior, you would have been lost throughout all eternity. Your sins would have never been forgiven, and because of this, you would have been barred from Heaven forever.

But God does not want you to perish. In order that He might have a just and righteous way of forgiving your sins, He sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to die on the Cross of Calvary. Christ died for ungodly sinners like you and me so that we might be forgiven. Three days after His burial, the Savior rose again. Then forty days later, He went back to heaven where, at this very moment, He is waiting to save you.

Now here is the message which God is trying to make you understand: “All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). If you will acknowledge your sins and accept the Son of God as your Lord and Savior, you will receive forgiveness of your sins, eternal life, and an inheritance in Heaven. He has definitely promised this in His Word, the Holy Bible, and He will not and cannot go back on His promise.

God has done His part. Your part is to take God at His word—to acknowledge and admit your sin and guilt to God—and then to receive Jesus Christ as your own personal Savior. Here is what the Word of God states: “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name” (John 1:12). Why not take the Lord Jesus Christ as your own Savior now, for remember—

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John 3:36).

Life is short, Death is sure;
Sin the cause, Christ the cure.

“When Heaven Is Silent”
By Niles Borop, Cary Schmidt & Camp Kirkland
Copyright: Century, BMI & Niles Borop Music

When your world is torn apart,
it's like a knife has pierced your heart.
You no longer feel God near,
your faith gives way to fear.
Why pray?

For your pain defies all words,
you cry out but are you heard?
Don't give into the despair.
Keep the faith for He is there,
right there.

When Heaven is silent,
your faintest prayer is heard.
When Heaven seems distant,
the Father hears each word.
When God turns His face
He's leaning close to hear our prayer.
When Heaven is silent be still and know He's there.

When you don't fully understand
how all of this could be God's plan,
soon your questions will find rest
in the Father's faithfulness and grace.

When Heaven is silent,
your faintest prayer is heard.
When Heaven seems distant,
the Father hears each word.
When God turns His face
He's leaning close to hear our prayer.
When Heaven is silent be still and know He's there.

Be still and know He's there.

TIME IS SOMETHING THAT WE NEVER SEEM TO HAVE ENOUGH OF, BUT WHERE DOES IT GO?

Take a few minutes to think about what you do in your spare time. Estimate and record the number of hours you spend on each activity in a week. Then find the total number of hours spent in all.

_____ Watching television/movies/videos
_____ Browsing the internet
_____ Social Networking
_____ E-Mail
_____ Texting
_____ Playing games
_____ Listening to music
_____ Reading books or magazines
_____ TOTAL

Are you surprised by your results? All of the activities listed above are things that many of us enjoy spending time doing, but have you ever considered whether these activities have any long-lasting value?

For some, they do. They may use texting to encourage a friend, or use the internet to learn more about a particular passage of Scripture. For others, the above activities serve no real purpose. There may be nothing wrong with these activities, but, is there something better?

All Christians agree, in theory at least, that the things of God are far more important than spending time on any of these activities. But do we show it in our everyday lives? It is so easy to pass the time reading or watching things, many of which may be ungodly and immoral in character. Sure, they may be entertaining and give us something to do, but many times these activities allow “this present evil world” (Galatians 1:4) to come into our homes and lives. We may delude ourselves into thinking that it will do us no harm because we would not think of doing such things ourselves. But what about the wasted time? Furthermore, what we see and hear leaves an impression upon our souls, whether we realize it or not.

As our physical well-being depends upon our partaking regularly of good, nourishing food, so does our spiritual health. A good and wholesome word for us all is given in 1 Timothy 4:13-16, where we read: “Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. Neglect not the gift that is in thee... Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.”

As long as we are here in this world, we will be confronted with things that would be much better to refuse for the sake of our spiritual well-being. We should get in the habit of asking ourselves, “Will this please the Lord? Or, am I just seeking to please myself?”

Consider Samson. The underlying reason for Samson's downfall was not Delilah, but was seen earlier in his life as he gave expression to these words: “Get her for me, for she pleaseth me well” (Judges 14:3). This self-pleasing characterized him throughout his life and at last he lost his strength, his eyesight, his liberty, and finally his life.

May we all be overcomers in a most practical sense—“Lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience [endurance] the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith” (Hebrews 12:1,2). We are exhorted to lay aside anything which would hinder our spiritual progress. Our desire in all that we do is that the Lord might be glorified and that we might be of the best possible service to Him.

“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.” (Ephesians 5:15-17)

“And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:34-36)

“The Time To Stand”

Can you see a world consumed by sin and strife?
As the enemy speaks out against the love of Christ.
We must not surrender to the wickedness of man,
God is still in control His power has not changed!

The time to stand is now!
We must stand upon God's Word, filled with His holy pow'r.
It's time to be a light, to dispel away the dark.
Speak the truth, and reach the lost.
Follow Christ, take up your cross.
The time to stand is now!

Are you filled with pride, seeking selfish gain;
Following your dreams and living life in vain?
Do you hear the Saviour pleading "Follow me!"
Will you give your life? Surrender everything!

The time to stand is now!
We must stand upon God's Word, filled with His holy pow'r.
It's time to be a light, to dispel away the dark.
Speak the truth, and reach the lost.
Follow Christ, take up your cross.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus!
Stand in His strength alone!
We must stand upon God's Word, filled with His holy pow'r.
It's time to be a light to dispel away dark!
Speak the truth, and reach the lost.
Follow Christ, take up your cross.

The time to stand is now!

God is “our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).

‘There is never a day so dreary but God can make it bright
And unto the soul who trusts Him He giveth songs in the night.
There is never a path so hidden but God will lead the way
If we seek for His Spirit’s guidance and patiently wait and pray.’

God makes His fatherly comfort clear through His Word. “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” (Romans 15:4).

A closed, neglected Bible often causes comfortless hearts. But as we read the Bible we turn from our grief to fuller appreciation that Jesus also endured sadness, loneliness, and pain during His life on earth. And He went the final step we will never take—He suffered and died alone for our sins on that cruel cross.

‘There is never a cross so heavy but the nail-scarred hands are there
Outstretched in tender compassion the burden to help us bear.
There is never a heart so broken but the loving Lord can heal,
For the heart that was pierced on Calvary doth still for His loved ones feel.’

As we bring our requests before the Heavenly Father we know that He truly understands our deepest needs. We can count on and rest in His promises:

“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” (Psalm 55:22, 1 Peter 5:7)

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7)

“… the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted.”, “I will not leave you comfortless: …”, “… for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” (Isaiah 49:13, John 14:18, Hebrews 13:5)

‘God in love has promised grace for every trial,
Strength for every sorrow, help for every mile,
And may He in sympathy and unfailing love impart
Help for each tomorrow and new courage to your heart.’

“Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

“The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the LORD delivereth him out of them all.” (Psalms 34:17-19)

There is no problem too big, God cannot solve it.
There is no mountain too tall, He cannot move it.
There is no storm too dark, God cannot calm it
There is no sorrow too deep, He cannot soothe it

If He carried the weight of the world upon His shoulders
I know, my brother that He will carry you
If He carried the weight of the world upon His shoulders
I know, my sister, that He will carry you.

He said, "Come unto Me, all who are weary …
… and I will give you rest."

John 3:16 is without a doubt the best-known Bible passage. It has brought comfort and hope to millions—perhaps billions—of people, and contains an important message for you today. At its core, this verse tells us about salvation: the means by which God rescues the perishing and gives everlasting life to all who believe its message.

FOR GOD
The message of salvation begins with God. You and I might be tempted to look at ourselves and say, “What have I done?” or “What can I do?” But God wants to draw our attention to what He has done for us.

SO LOVED
What could move an all-powerful God to take an interest in what happens to you and me? Here we discover a wonderful thing about God—He loves us! Even though we have rebelled against our Creator, His love has provided the way of salvation.

THE WORLD
God’s love extends to everyone. No one is too young or too old, too rich or too poor, too exceptional or too ordinary to receive His love. It reaches around the globe to find you, right where you are.

THAT HE GAVE
Giving gifts is a natural expression of love. While our giving is always limited by our resources, God is able to give us blessings of infinite and never-ending value.

HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON
Here we find the first of two gifts mentioned in this verse: Jesus! The eternal Son of God came to earth and was born as a baby. He was given the name Jesus, which means “the Lord is salvation.” His miraculous arrival fulfilled many ancient prophecies, one of which says “unto us a Son is given” who will be called “Mighty God” and bring forth a kingdom characterized by justice and righteousness (Isaiah 9:6-7).

To enter God’s holy kingdom we must be perfectly righteous. And that’s a problem, because God knows our sinful hearts and has declared that “there is none righteous, no, not one” (Romans 3:10). God’s holiness demands that a price be paid for sin. This is why God gave His Son to pay the price on our behalf. When Jesus laid down His life on the cross, bearing God’s punishment for our sin, He opened the way for us to be made righteous. He then rose from the dead on the third day, proving that God was pleased with His sacrifice.

THAT WHOSOEVER
God’s gift of salvation through Jesus Christ is offered to everyone. Regardless of who we are or what we have done, Jesus has promised to receive us: “him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out” (John 6:37). God is “not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9).

BELIEVETH IN HIM
“Believeth” means two things here. First, we must believe what the Bible says about Jesus. This means acknowledging who He is and what He has done (Hebrews 11:6). But it’s deeper than just accepting facts about Him; the belief spoken of here also implies “total trust.” To receive salvation, we must lay aside any thoughts of our own worthiness and come to Him just as we are. When we rest our souls completely on His grace, trusting Him alone for salvation, our sins are washed away and we are clothed in His righteousness. “Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us” (Titus 3:5). “By grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9).

SHOULD NOT PERISH
The Bible says we are born in sin, and if we reject God’s forgiveness we will also die in sin, separated from God forever. “He that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” (John 3:36). I trust you will turn to God so you do not perish!

BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE
“Everlasting life” is the second great gift of God mentioned in John 3:16, and includes more than you might realize. Not only does God bless those who trust in Jesus with never-ending joys in His presence for all eternity, He also fills their earthly lives with many wonderful blessings:
* He forgives their sins and makes them brand new in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:7; 2 Corinthians 5:17)
* He adopts them as His children and promises them an inheritance in His kingdom (Romans 8:15; 1 Peter 1:3-4)
* He sends His Spirit to dwell in them, giving them the ability to live a life that is pleasing to Him (Acts 2:38; Galatians 5:16)
* He promises to be with them through every difficulty of life, never leaving them and never letting them go (Romans 8:28; John 10:27-28)

How can you have everlasting life? When you receive God’s Son, you receive everlasting life. It’s as simple as that. You can’t have one without the other: “He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life” (1 John 5:12). “As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name” (John 1:12).

Will you receive Him today? Carefully read and think about the Scripture verses quoted above. Then talk to God in your own words, confessing to Him that you are a sinner in need of salvation. Thank Him for sending Jesus to take the punishment your sins deserve. Put your total trust in what He has done for you. Ask Him to save you, and He will!

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31).

The poor and the needy, the rich man, the great,
The hurting, the weary, the burdened with shame,

So many stories and so many lives
Gaining a hope in His [Jesus’] sacrifice.

It took the same cross, the same blood, the same price
To pay for the sins of the world.
For no matter how great the wages of man, He looked at each one the same,
With One Cross for All!

The lonely, the broken, the empty, forsaken,
The strong and the mighty king, the lowest of men.

Christ came to earth to seek and to save,
For at the cross every man comes the same!

It took the same cross, the same blood, the same price
To pay for the sins of the world.
For no matter how great the wages of man, He looked at each one the same,
With One Cross for All!

Ever wondered how many people die on earth every day? Do the math. There's an estimated 7.9 billion people in the world as of October 2021.

If the average person lives to be 70-years old, that means 7.9 billion people will all die within the next 70-years (on average).

If we divide 7.9 billion by 70, and then divide that result again by 365 days in a year, we get approx 309,000 people dying every single day. Of course, on some days more people die, and on others less.

The point is that 7,900,000,000 people living today will all be dead within 70-100 years from today. So which will it be for eternity, Heaven or Hell?

How tragic that the average Christian today has been choked by the cares and riches of this carnal world... "And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection" (Luke 8:14).

Oh, how the tears will flow in Heaven, from the eyes of believers who lived for the pleasures of this temporal life, who selfishly did their own thing, who worked all the overtime they could get; but hardly ever, if ever, told lost souls how to be saved through Jesus Christ.
“Souls are dying, brother, do you care? Souls are dying, sister, do you care?” - John R Rice

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16:15)

“Go Now”

As sunlight slowly fades away
and dark begins to mark the end of day.
There is still much work to do
as the world cries out for you.
Will you hear them and tell them Jesus saves?

Go now and tell all the nations proclaiming out His Word.
There's an open door for lab'rers to a world who's never heard.
Our time on earth is fleeting, yet the world remains untold.
Who will go? How will they hear? Tell them.
Go now and reach the world.

Looking back it's clear to see
that Christ has always been our victory.
Yet the comfort that we feel
has to pow'r we know is real.
Now we must tell the world about His saving grace!

Go now and tell all the nations proclaiming out His Word.
There's an open door for lab'rers to a world who's never heard.
Our time on earth is fleeting, yet the world remains untold.
Who will go? How will they hear? Tell them.
Go now and reach the world.

Give us, Lord devotion to reach the lost in sin.
Let Your Holy Spirit light our way.
Use us, now, to honour and glorify Your Name
as we preach the Gospel message and salvation we proclaim.

Go now and tell all the nations proclaiming out His Word.
There's an open door for lab'rers to a world who's never heard.
Our time on earth is fleeting, yet the world remains untold.
Who will go? How will they hear? Tell them.
Go now and reach the world.

Go now and reach the world!
Go now! Go now!
