Rushcutters Bay Playgroup

Rushcutters Bay Playgroup We meet 9.30 to 11.30am Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Location: behind KU Pre School, 7A Waratah Street. There is really no typical Playgroup these days.

Playgroup is an informal session where mums, dads, grandparents, caregivers, children and babies meet up in a relaxed and friendly environment. The adults stay to interact with other adults and to play with their children.

- Playgroup gives children an opportunity to have fun, make new friends and develop new skills through informal play
- Playgroup provides parents and carers with an opportunity

to meet other parents and carers, make friends and share ideas and experiences
- Playgroup also allows parents and carers to spend quality time with their children, encouraging, helping or simply playing with their children
- Playgroup is not-for-profit
- Currently around Australia there are 103,000 families regularly participating in Playgroups, meeting in halls, neighborhood centres, churches, private homes and parks. You will see families from all walks of life at Playgroup.You will see families from all walks of life at Playgroup. In fact, in NSW there are over 1,700 Playgroup sessions with over 50,000 parents and children meeting each week.

Our local little playgroup is back! We’ll be open every Tuesday from 9:15-11:30. It’s $4 for one child, $5 for two. Bring your babes, tell your friends and hope to see you there! The gate code is C23XY.

*** PLAYGROUP IS BACK! ***

We’re completely delighted to be able to finally have playgroup running again! We will be open tomorrow (Tuesday) from 9:00-11:30.
Entry is via the gate in between the Tennis courts and Preschool on Waratah St. If the gate is closed please call me (Xanthe) on 0410113235.

Everyone is welcome! We can’t wait to play.

** COVID UPDATE **

I know lots of people have been eagerly anticipating Playgroup reopening but unfortunately we’re not able to do so at the moment. The preschool is not allowing anyone other than the educators and the children on their premises (not even preschool parents).
I’m disappointed but completely understand and support the Preschool in their efforts to remain a safe environment for the preschoolers and the staff there. I’m so sorry everyone.
Fingers crossed for Term 4!

Hi Rushcutters community, I’ve just checked in with Playgroup NSW and unfortunately all playgroups continue to be suspended. Here is their statement:

“The NSW government has eased restrictions from Friday, 15th May, however these restrictions are not relevant for our playgroup communities as we are unable to manage the social distancing requirements to remain 1.5 metres from others. Playgroups will remain suspended.”

We look forward to seeing everyone again as soon as it’s safe to do so!

Hi friends,
Due to the unprecedented and rapidly escalating situation regarding COVID-19, and in line with the recommendations from Playgroup NSW, we are suspending Rushcutters Bay Playgroup for the rest of the term (up to April 2, 2020).
