Today, and really any day, we pause to remember and honour all our loved ones who have gone before us.
All Souls’ Day invites us to reflect with gratitude and love, cherishing the memories that continue to live in our hearts.

As we walk through our beautifully landscaped cemetery — surrounded by trees, flowers, and peaceful spaces — we are reminded that this is not only a place of rest, but also one of beauty, care, and connection.

May the serenity of our grounds and the light of remembrance bring comfort to all who visit this special place. 🌿💛

Congratulations on 50 Years of Ordination, F Paul Bourke!
(Please note: Change of venue for celebration)

Today, 6 September, marks 50 years since Fr Paul Bourke was ordained as a priest. Tomorrow, 7 September, is the anniversary of the first Mass he celebrated which was held on the St Joseph’s School oval, here in Port Lincoln.

To honour Fr Paul’s remarkable commitment to his faith and service to others, the Parish will be holding a special celebration Mass tomorrow, Sunday 7 September, at 9.30am. While Fr Paul had hoped to celebrate Mass once again on the school oval, 50 years to the day, the predicted weather has meant the celebration will instead be held at St Mary of the Angels Church.

All families and community members are warmly invited to join this special occasion.

We are deeply grateful for Fr Paul’s wisdom, guidance, and all that he does for our school and Parish community.

As a token of gratitude, sunflowers were sown to thank the year 8 students from St. Joseph's School for their support at the cemetery in 2024. Each student is represented by one sunflower. There are approximately 50 blossoms.
