At Central we want to keep life uncluttered so we try and keep things simple. We're not perfect or polished nor do we have great programs, but we do want to grow in our love of God, be a committed, passionate faith community and reach the people of Wollongong who are looking for God and want to express their faith in a simple, meaningful way. On Sunday in the contemplative service we explored the idea of journey and pilgrimage in life...and using a tracing labyrinth template we explored and 'prayed' a particular part of our life's journey.
Our monthly contemplative service is always based around spiritual practice exploring a particular theme. Each month is different but we're often engaging in lectio divina, the examen, silence, journaling, centering prayer and other creative spiritual practice.
