The Salvation Army Perth City Church The Salvation Army in Perth City is known as The Salvation Army Perth Fortress Corps.

The Perth Fortress Corps was launched on December 19, 1891, in a rented skating rink in Murray Street. Since that time it has grown to serve the community through its religious and social service programs. While famous for it's band and choir (the Perth Fortress Band & Songsters), the church also offers companion clubs for seniors, youth and children's activities, and a range of programs aimed at

serving our city. These include Street Outreach Services, an assertive outreach model of serving the homeless in the city and our Doorways Programs that range from traditional Emergency Relief through to target Case-Management services.

What an exciting day as 12 of our Young Adults gathered together to dream, pray, and explore what God has in store for our Young Adults Ministry in this next season!

As we look ahead, we're building a ministry centred on discipleship, growing in God's Word, serving others, authentic community, and having plenty of fun along the way.

There is a real sense of expectation for what God is doing, and we are believing for lives to be transformed, faith to be strengthened, and many more young adults to find a place where they can belong and grow.

Today was just the beginning of this next season, and we're excited to see how God will grow this ministry beyond anything we could imagine.

Please pray for us as we step out in faith, seek God's direction, and trust Him for all that lies ahead. The best is yet to come! 🙌

A fabulous afternoon hosting & being a part of a fantastic collaboration bringing together The Salvation Army Perth City, Perth Chinese Church Salvation Army & GOGOPerth to connect with International Students & Backpackers currently based in Perth!

The afternoon was loud, exciting, fun & full of connection as we continued to build & strengthen community together!

It was a privilege to have Major Aaron & Captain Cherry share about the work, ministry & service of The Salvation Army and to also give an invitation for people to volunteer and find community at the Salvos!

What a delight to host this gathering today… the beginning of something REALLY EXCITING!

Here is just a SMALL glimpse of some of our awesome RED SHIELD team out and about over the last month or so! We are SO grateful for everyone who collects & assists with the Red Shield Appeal!

We’re out and about collecting right up until the end of June! So there’s still time to donate! Keep an eye out for our amazing collectors all across Perth and beyond over the next few weeks!

Over the past few weeks, we have had the privilege of sharing videos from Rockingham and Kwinana Corps, highlighting the impact of donations made during the Red Shield Appeal.

Today, we are pleased to share a video from The Salvation Army Perth City, in partnership with Momentum Wealth, showcasing their Community Lunch program.

Every Friday, over 100 individuals attend this vital initiative, which provides a two-course meal, this is often the only hot meal they will have all week.

The generosity of donors during the Red Shield Appeal enables The Salvation Army Perth City to continue this essential ministry.

We also extend our gratitude to corporate partners like Momentum Wealth, who volunteer their time and resources to support the setup, service, and cleanup of this weekly event.

There is still time to contribute to the Red Shield Appeal.
