⚠️ Youth Group Update

Due to the severe weather conditions, last Sunday’s youth gathering was cancelled. Unfortunately, this Sunday Fr. Stojan has parish commitments and will not be available to lead the session.

As a result, our planned discussion on “The Holy Spirit in Our Lives” will now take place next Sunday at 6:00 PM.

Thank you for your understanding and patience. We look forward to gathering together next week.

☦ LIVING FAITH YOUTH ☦

This Sunday we invite all youth ages 12+ to join us for a special Bible Study Night dedicated to the Holy Spirit and the Feast of Pentecost.

Together we will open the Scriptures, read passages from the Bible, and discuss:
🔥 Who is the Holy Spirit?
🔥 What happened at Pentecost?
🔥 How does the Holy Spirit work in our lives today?
🔥 What are the fruits of the Spirit?

Through discussion, fellowship, and prayer, we hope to grow closer to God and better understand the gift of the Holy Spirit in the life of the Church ☦

🕯️ ORTHODOX 101 – Why Is Silence Important in Orthodoxy?

In a world filled with constant noise,
Orthodoxy teaches us the beauty of stillness.

Silence helps us hear the heart, focus in prayer,
and become attentive to God’s presence.
Again and again, Christ Himself withdrew into quiet places to pray.

Orthodox silence is not emptiness —
it is peaceful presence before God. 🌿

Tonight at Living Faith, we gathered together for a different kind of youth meeting — an evening of fellowship, reflection, discussion, and learning through the life of a modern saint.

Together we watched part of the inspiring story of Saint Paisios of Mount Athos and reflected on an important question:

“Can holiness still exist today?”

Through his humility, love, patience, and deep faith, Saint Paisios reminds us that sainthood is not something distant from us or reserved only for the past. Even in today’s world, a person can truly live close to Christ.

After the episode, we continued the evening with pizza, discussion, laughter, and meaningful conversations together 🤍

Thank God for another beautiful Living Faith gathering ☦️

What does holiness actually look like in today’s world?

Not perfection.
Not being “better than everyone.”
Not pretending life is easy.

This Sunday at Living Faith, we’ll spend the evening together watching part of the beautiful story of Saint Paisios — a modern saint whose life continues to inspire thousands of people around the world.

A relaxed night of film, snacks, discussion, laughter, reflection, and time together 🤍

Sometimes learning about the faith does not begin with lectures — sometimes it begins by seeing how someone truly loved Christ.

We would love to see you there ✨

☦️ Why Is Every Sunday Holy?

Many people become confused when they hear names like:

“Sunday of the Paralytic”
“Sunday of the Myrrhbearers”
“Sunday of the Samaritan Woman”
“First Sunday after Pentecost”

So what does it mean?

In the Orthodox Church, every Sunday is dedicated to the Resurrection of Christ. Every Sunday is a “little Pascha” — a day of joy, victory, and new life.

That is why the Church gathers for the Divine Liturgy every Sunday.

But each Sunday also has a special theme. The Church may place before us a Gospel event, a miracle, a saint, or a feast that teaches us something important for our spiritual life.

So when we say “Sunday of the Paralytic” or “Sunday of the Myrrhbearers,” we are not saying that Sunday is no longer about the Resurrection.

We are saying that, together with the Resurrection, the Church is giving us a particular lesson for that day.

Every Sunday is holy.
Every Sunday is a celebration of the Resurrection.
And every Sunday has something to teach our soul.

Next time you hear the name of the Sunday, ask yourself:

“What is the Church teaching me today?”

Tonight’s Living Faith Youth meeting was all about real questions, honest conversations, and growing together in faith ❤️

We spoke about things many young people wonder about:

👉 Do I really need the Church?
👉 Does God actually hear my prayers?
👉 Why do we fast?
👉 Why does suffering exist?

Thank you to everyone who came, listened, shared, and asked questions. Nights like this remind us that faith grows when we seek, learn, and walk together.

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find…” — Matthew 7:7

Sometimes it feels like we’ve gone too far…
like we’ve messed up too much…

But here’s the truth:
👉 God’s grace doesn’t run out.

It’s never too late to come back.
There is no place where God cannot find you.

Just take one step back toward Him. 🙏
