Hi, my fellow Zimbabweans and Friends of Zimbabwe in Perth. On Wednesday 2nd of August, we will be holding a prayer service for Zimbabwe elections that are coming up to be held on the 23rd of August 2023.
As you are or may be aware that whenever there are elections in Zimbabwe, it is always an unsettling time for families. For some, it brings sad memories, for some it brings anxiety, and for some it brings fear.
We want to gather in one accord and pray for Zimbabweans to be:
1. Peaceful
2. Kind
3. Loving
4. Tolerant
5. Hope to be restored
Isaiah 60:2-3:
Pray that the nation would emerge from darkness and seek God's glory and light.
Psalm 113:4:
Pray that the nation would acknowledge God's sovereignty and majesty over all nations and heavens.
Psalm 67:1-5:
Pray that God would be gracious and bless the nation and make his face shine on it.
Psalm 122:6-8:
Pray for the peace and security of the nation and its people.
Psalm 133:1-3:
Pray for the unity and harmony of the nation and its leaders.
Psalm 146:6-8:
Pray that God would uphold the cause of the oppressed, the hungry, the prisoners, the blind, and the bowed down in the nation.
John 8:3:
Pray that the nation would know the truth and be set free by Jesus Christ.
Revelation 5:9:
Pray that the nation would join the song of praise to the Lamb who was slain and who purchased people from every tribe, language, nation, and people.
We will gather at the ICC Indian Community Centre, 12 Whyalla Street, Willetton WA 6155
Doors will open at 4pm
Program will start at 6pm
The program will be finished by 9pm.

EAGLE’S WINGS

Isaiah 40:28-31 (NKJV) Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. 29 He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, 31 but those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

So many times in life, we can get weary. Maybe you feel that way today. You have done all that you know to do, and it seems like it is still not going to work out. Well, today I want to say to you, “Get on those eagle’s wings, and let them help you soar above the problems.”

You see, an eagle has amazing wings. When a storm comes to an eagle, he does not have to run and hide. No, he locks his wings, waits for the blast of wind, and then rides high above the storm. Then when everything calms down, he just goes home.

We also ride on His wings, when we put our trust in God and do things His way, and not the ways of the world. Our dear and loving Father carries us above the storms of life. When everything settles down, we just go to the place where we belong.

God does not want us weary and run down. He wants us filled with Himself and running in His strength. You might ask, “Is this possible?” Well these verses say that if we will wait on the Lord, if we will dwell in His presence, our strength will be renewed, and our ability to run will be restored.

So today, do not lean on your own strength; it is bound to let you down. Lean on His strength, and trust Him to be your “EAGLE’S WINGS.” You will still see the problems, but this time you will see them from above, and not be in them.

PRAYER:
Today, I am mounting up on eagle’s wings. I am not going to be under these problems. I am going to be seeing them from a higher view; God’s view!

STRUGGLING TO SLEEP?

Proverbs 3:24-26 (NKJV) When you lie down, you will not be afraid; yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet. 25 Do not be afraid of sudden terror, nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes; 26 for the Lord will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught.

The world can be a fearful place; a place of uncertainty and insecurity. God does not want His children to be fearful and unsettled. We are in the world, not of it. He wants us to sleep well, peacefully, and restfully.

You might have trouble sleeping, or trouble resting, but God wants you calm and at peace, because He is watching over you. Like our Scripture says today, “The Lord is your confidence.” Look at verse 26 in the Amplified Bible: “For the Lord shall be your confidence, firm and strong, and shall keep your foot from being caught [in a trap or some hidden danger].”

That is amazing, right? He will keep us safe from the things we can see, and even the things we cannot see! He will keep us safe from the unseen traps the enemy would like to set for us. Our steps are secure and well lit. Proverbs 4:18 says, “But the path of the just is like the shining sun that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.”

You have nothing to fear. God is on your side. He is the Good Shepherd that makes you lie down in green pastures, and leads you besides the still waters (Psalm 23). He is leading and guiding you, watching over you, and protecting you.

He has given you His Word, Jesus, His Spirit, and even His angels to watch over you. You can lay your head down, and sleep sweetly!

PRAYER: When I lie down, my sleep is sweet. I am not afraid of sudden terror, or of trouble when it comes, because the Lord is my confidence, firm and strong. He keeps my foot from being caught in a trap, or some hidden danger.

FRUIT OF YOUR SUFFERINGS!

No matter how they cut you low...

today I declare that I will restore to you double.

Jeremiah 33:6 - God brings healing

Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security.

Although we are aware that complete physical healing may not occur in this lifetime, we also know that God has a plan and a purpose for our lives
