๐Ÿ’Ž Last Friday was quite an evening! ๐Ÿ˜ฏ We did the Law Enforcement badge - Mrs Batchelor arranged for two police officers ๐Ÿ‘ฎ ๐Ÿ‘ฎ from our local police station to come and chat with the girls. The girls had a lot of questions which the constables were happy to answer. They even got a demo on how to put on handcuffs and checked out their police vehicle. ๐Ÿš” So ..we may have a few prospective police officers in our midst... ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ’Ž

Coronavirus Response Plan
Dear church members.
As the coronavirus outbreak develops further we need to consider as a church how best to:

1. Continue to live and preach the gospel grace and be salt and light in our community.
2. Look for ways to show Godโ€™s love to our community (particularly the elderly, the sick, the isolated, the vulnerable and the fearful).
3. Protect and care for our members and visitors at our gatherings and in our networks.

At the Church Council meeting of the 18th of March much time was spent on the way forward in this difficult time and some hard decisions had to be made to protect our church community and the community we live and work in. We have decided the following response:

โ— Church worship service attendance will be restricted to a maximum of 100 members in the following way: we invite all members with their surname starting from A to L to the morning service and those with their name starting from M to Z for the evening service. This arrangement will be reversed the following week and continue to alternate week by week.
โ— If you need to participate on a different schedule let us know to make the change.
โ— Those who do have roster commitments can attend as per rosters.
โ— When seated in church please keep a chair in between each other (in all directions) but families can sit together.
โ— Live-streaming will be available for those not attending the worship service.
โ— For the elderly and vulnerable we recommend remaining at home and following the service on live stream if possible.
โ— If you or a family member have flu-like symptoms it is important to not participate in any Church activities including the worship services.
โ— Please consider using electronic banking for your tithing. To avoid confusion we will have one offering bag at the doors and request you separate your church and extra collection in marked envelopes.
โ— There will be no refreshments after church.
โ— Crรจche and Kids at Church will not be available.
โ— All meetings and clubs will be discontinued until further notice.
โ— Enter and exit by keeping distance as much as possible.
โ— It is most important that we stay in contact with each other; we encourage everyone to make an extra effort to make a phone call to the elderly and shut-ins.

The decision to implement this plan has not come lightly and the only other option would have been no worship services at all. We pray that these arrangements will only be necessary for a short period. Things can and will continue to change from here on, and the Church Council will do all it can to keep our members informed through Facebook, emails, phone and newsletters.

โ€œPraise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.โ€โ€‹2 Corinthians 1:3-4
