Business Closed
I have finally taken the hard decision to close my business as a marriage celebrant. Over the years since I first registered in 2009, it has been my privilege to share in the special days of many clients, and I will continue to treasure the memories I have gathered along the way.
Two years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was lucky. The cancer had not spread beyond the sentinel lymph nodes and was treatable. Recovery from the treatment has taken time, and somewhere along the way I came to the realisation that I no longer had the energy to continue providing my services as civil marriage celebrant. Consequently I will be resigning my registration at the end of June.
I don't know exactly what it is that I want to do next, but I am certain it will continue to include elements of ritual and ceremony, as well as fostering connection and community in creative ways.
I want to conclude by thanking all those who have been part of my celebrant journey, and wishing you every blessing for the future. May you know the contentment of having a quiet heart, supportive people around you, and the opportunity to treasure whatever moments of loving connection come your way.
