Baptist leaders from every state and territory are meeting with MPs and Senators in Canberra as part of Converge — our annual unified advocacy event on behalf of the Australian Baptist Movement.
We're carrying one shared ask: a national commitment to end violence against women and children by 2050.

Happening Now!

⏰September 7-9, Baptist leaders from across Australia are in Canberra for Converge, our annual advocacy visit to Parliament, meeting with numerous MP's and Senators.🤝
This year we are carrying one shared message: a commitment to end violence against women and children by 2050.

🧸Violence against women and children is a collective challenge and a fearsome responsibility. Together, churches, governments, service providers and communities all have a role to play in creating a safer future.

🏠 The statistics represent real people and real lives!

🙏Please join us in praying for the delegation, for our elected leaders, and for all those impacted by family and domestic violence.

Ending Violence Against Women & Children by 2050

Next week, Baptist leaders from across Australia are in Canberra for Converge, meeting with MPs and Senators to call for action on family and domestic violence.

1 in 4 women in Australia will experience violence from a partner.
We believe this can change —and we're asking government to help.

Join us in prayer for effective change.

As deadly floods devastate communities across Nepal and over 1,000 people are reported missing, please join us in praying for everyone affected, and for search and rescue teams as they respond. May those who are grieving find comfort, those who have lost homes find support, and those responding to the crisis have strength and wisdom to meet everyone's needs.

We pray especially for our Partners and the communities they support, trusting that God's hope and provision will shine through even in difficult times. 🙏
