Quotes from our Harmony Day event 2024
“It was very inspiring to have people from many different religions come together to discuss how we can all get along and live peacefully. Especially with all that’s happening in the world right now I find these events important in building bridges between communities.”
Venerable Vipassako (Bodhinyana Monastery)
“The thing that was special about last year was gathering together of people from different beliefs, perspectives and backgrounds.”
Sky Dawson, Sakyadhita Australia
“The event was wonderful with positive ripple effects such as:
• Intersectionality of the diverse group of speakers and participants representing faith, culture, gender and LGBTIQA+ communities
• Introduction of Tibetan culture and traditions
• Welcome to country by Indigenous elder which weaved in important knowledge and perspectives supporting Harmony Day and Close the Gap Day which coincided on the same day in 2024″
