For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.
II John 1:7 NKJV

The author writes to teach us that there are many deceivers who do not believe that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, and that disqualifies Jesus from being the perfect sacrifice for all flesh.

The highlight in this passage is about satan's main objective to deceive the people from the truth.

This is the reason it is very important for believers to KNOW THE TRUTH. When we know the truth, we can avoid deception.

The fact that satan uses deception is because satan has no power on his own to attack believers. The only power satan uses is the power satan got by deceiving believers with his lies.

When believers don't know what they have in Christ, they don't know their rights as children of God, and if they don't stand strong in what Christ has done, then satan can deceive them.

Many believers even blame God for something that happened because of a lack of knowledge. This is how satan brings deception, so there is division in our relationship with God.

Therefore, the believer's first investment is to know God, build our lives according to our spiritual identity, understand our rights as children of God, and know what we have RECEIVED from Christ.

When we build our lives in Christ, which is building our lives in truth, all lies will be exposed, and all the traps of the enemy will be clear and easily avoided.

It is important we pull ourselves up together in Christ, setting our entire being to follow after Christ and see everything from Christ's perspective.

Let us keep growing in our relationship with God our Father, Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit who lives in us.

And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.
1 Corinthians 2:1 NKJV

Paul, who once studied under the best teacher of his time, had all the skills to bring the word of God with natural understanding and expound the testament and its meaning.

Instead, what counted most for Paul was personal, experiential knowledge of the word of God, as the Holy Spirit revealed the person of Jesus to him.

Paul is not here to give his knowledge of God from just the scriptures, but Paul speaks of His experience of the word of God that has transformed his life.

Paul's message is a message that has been tried and tested in his own life. Needing no persuasive skills but was backed by transforming power.

Paul took time after his encounter with Jesus to preach Jesus and Him crucified. That encounter impacted him, from seeing the word of God from a human perspective to God's perspective.

When one is walking with the Lord and manifesting the likeness of Jesus, they do not need any persuasive words, but they demonstrate the power and life of Jesus.

Every truth needs to become part of our lifestyle, not just knowledge we learn to know about, but learn to live by the truth.

Each one of us is called to walk in the fullness of Christ, manifesting His power in everything we touch and do.

Let us take the truth that Jesus has laid for our lives and start implementing them in every aspect of our lives.

For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.
Matthew 23:4 NKJV

Jesus warned the people not to be like the scribes and the Pharisees where they will ask the people to do but they themselves will not live up to what they teach.

All they want is the praise of the people, acknowledgement of their holiness from the people and to exercise their authority over the people of God.

They lead people to themselves, to their plans and to their own agendas instead to lead people to be anchored in God.

Today we need to be aware not to fall away from the truth that Jesus has established for us. To do everything out of love for Him.

If we are doing things because we have to, we have to pause and re-examine our relationship with Jesus our Lord and Saviour.

The difference between the law and grace is the law will tell us what to do and enforce it with punishment if we don't do it.

But grace causes us to do because we are so grateful, because we love God and because we have been blessed with all spiritual blessings.

The knowledge of who we are and what we have received from Christ compels us to serve Him with cheerfulness.

We don't look for publicity to proof our work, we don't do it because we want to be acknowledged, we do it because we love Jesus and that's all that matters.

True love for God causes us to love one another and go beyond the call of duty to be a blessing to someone else in need.

Let us continue to know Jesus and know all that He has done for us. Let us fill our minds, hearts with His image and serve Him with a joyful heart.

In those days, the multitude being very great and having nothing to eat, Jesus called His disciples to Him and said to them,
Mark 8:1 NKJV

Jesus, who worked miracles, calmed the storms, and walked on water, is all-powerful, yet everything He did is a lesson, showing His disciples how to do it and the importance of their faith in Christ.

Here, when Jesus saw the multitude who came to listen to Him had stayed on and listened till late, He could not send them away hungry. Therefore, He planned to feed them before sending them off.

Instead of just performing another miracle to feed the hungry people that gathered, Jesus called for His disciples.

Jesus spoke to the disciples about the situation so that they could feed the hungry multitudes.

Notice that instead of the disciples going to Jesus to ask for help, here Jesus reached out to the disciples for the solution.

This is not because Jesus wanted them to use their abilities, their own money and effort to feed the hungry. But Jesus is teaching His disciples to take what they have learned of Christ and put that into practice.

But the disciples were not putting those teaching Jesus gave into practice. Jesus told them to feed the hungry, but they only gave the facts, not their faith in Jesus.

Many times we are so focused on running to Jesus for help as a child, still desiring milk and not fully grown in the Lord.

Here Jesus expected the disciples to grow into maturity and start to live in the power of Christ as they were taught.

Christ has blessed us with every spiritual blessing and empowered us with all authority to function as mature children of God.

As His sons and daughters, we are called to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, preach the gospel of the kingdom, and save souls.

When we see a soul that does not know Christ, what would be the voice of our Father in Heaven towards us?

Will we ask Him to save the soul, or are we going to step out in faith and trust in the power and the command Jesus has given unto us?

Let us rise as mature children of God and start to work the work of Christ by faith and by the power of His Spirit.

And some of the Pharisees said to them, “Why are you doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath?”
Luke 6:2 NKJV

When Jesus and His disciples picked the head of the grain and ate them, rubbing them in their hand, the Pharisees accused Jesus for breaking the law of the Sabbath.

In short, Jesus replied to them saying that He is the Lord of the Sabbath. That is a very bold, strong and powerful statement that Jesus made to the Pharisees.

Jesus just told them that He is Lord of them all. He is the fullfillment of them all and the one to take them all to a new covenant that will be set by Him.

This caused a great anger and caused them to find a way to kill Jesus. Now they are working towards violating their own beliefs by breaking the law to kill Jesus.

The law only keeps people behind the veil, they cannot see beyond the natural, beyond self and will block anything that tries to step out of the natural.

We are born again as spiritual children because we are to see everything through the spirit, through the eyes of Jesus.

We are not meant to function under the law of sin and death but in the power of God that we have received through Christ our Lord.

The focus of the spirit of Antichrist is to get people to stay in the natural, in their fallen nature so that satan can have a upper hand on their lives.

Jesus broke the curse, raised us up with Him and made us sit together with Him so that we rule, reign and govern from the spiritual realm.

Jesus went ahead to heal and teach in this chapter about living out the image of God, to forgive, to love and to care for one another. These are not rituals that the law requires but a lifestyle of the true children of God.

We are all called to display God in this earth by living out what Christ Jesus has put in us. The workmanship of Christ will be seen by all as we live in all that Christ has laid.

Let us make every effort to live out what we have received in Christ.

as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight.
Luke 3:4 NKJV

God sent John the Baptist to prepare the way for the Messiah to come to redeem all mankind and to restore them as God's children.

The preparation for Christ to come did not come from the temple, not from the rabbis, nor from the teachers of the law. Instead, it came from outside of the religious system that was already in place.

When truth is mixed with the ideology of man, it corrupts the real meaning, the real intention, and its purposes.

God had to raise someone who would truly prepare the way for him to come into the world.

We who live in Christ and who have been born again as children of God need to protect our minds from the ideology of the world that tries to corrupt the word of God.

The way we protect ourselves is to stand on the foundation that Christ has laid for us and to live from the complete provision He has already prepared.

Today, many pick and choose what is comfortable for them to believe, and it has become like a shopping centre to pick what they like.

The word of God is not a shopping centre; the word of God is the truth that sets us free from the bo***ge of satan.

Jesus Christ is the revealed Word of God to all humanity; to look unto Him, to stand in His finished work, to exercise all the power and authority that Christ has given is to stand in the truth.

We must not let anything alter this truth. What is given is given, and do not let anyone influence us to try to get what is already given.

Many pray to ask Jesus as if Christ has not completed the work, beg Him as if He has not paid the price, and inform Him as if Christ has no clue what is going on in this world.

Sometimes we forget that He is all-knowing, all-seeing, and present at all times, and nothing happens outside of the knowledge of God.

God gave the world for mankind to take dominion and to care for it. Yet mankind now turned and questioned God about what is going on in this world.

We as His children have to take back this world and bring it back according to the kingdom of God.

When we know what we have received, we don't wait for God to do it because we will know that God has called us His children to do it.

This is the reason He empowered us with His authority and power and gave us the keys of the kingdom.

Therefore, let us stand in the truth that Jesus has laid, live as one who has been empowered and established His kingdom everywhere we go.

Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them.
Colossians 3:19 NKJV

Husbands are called and empowered to love their wives. As husbands, we must realise that our wives are not a separate person but have become one flesh.

To be negative towards our wives, to have evil thoughts and words towards them is bringing harm to ourselves.

When husbands love their wives according to the image and likeness of God. The husband starts to build on a strong foundation that Jesus has laid.

Love covers a multitude of sins, it does not remind them of it. This breaks the yoke of shame, guilt and failure over their lives causing them to be a better person for each other.

As a husband, we need to nurture our wife in the ways of the Lord. God is love. Therefore, to really love our wives is to nurture them with God's word.

The husband's biggest investment is towards his wife. Building them, helping them and strengthening them causes the husband and the whole family to enjoy a Godly home.

This is the characteristics of Christ laying down His life for the church so that the church can walk in the fullness of God.

Therefore, let all husbands love their wives with the love of Christ so that they can walk in their full potential in God.
