I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus,
I Corinthians 1:4 NKJV

Paul takes joy seeing people flourishing in the grace of God. Paul was so thankful to God to see that people are walking empowered in the glory of God.

This grace that we have received is beyond human means to get it, grace is shown to us as the person of Jesus Christ in Titus 2:11.

Christ gave Himself to redeem all mankind and to be grateful and to live a grateful life before God. We are to walk according to what He has given to us.

Walking in our own strength before God would be a rebellious act denying His precious gift to all mankind.

Grace is given to empower us to live according to the full ability we have been ordained by God before the foundation of the world.

If Christ have to give His life for us to live in His grace, we better not try to live in our own merits and in our own strength but in what God has already given to us.

When we acknowledge, understand and bring ourselves in alignment with the grace of God, we will find ourselves fulfilling all the laws and the prophets.

For we will be walking in God's divine power and strength. Let us live in the grace of God and bring our bodies into agreement with what He has given.

for you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus.
I Thessalonians 4:2 NKJV

Paul was writing to the Thessalonian believers who once practised pagan religion but now have accepted Christ as their Lord and Saviour.

The commandment that Paul gave to the Thessalonians is not the law of Moses but the new covenant that Jesus has established for all mankind.

Paul was checking on them to see whether they are living their lives as one who have been free. He was coaching them to know what they have received in Christ so that they can overcome the habits and patterns of the past.

He was teaching them to live as a person who has been made holy and to live blamelessly with the power of God.

Immorality and living in sin had become a normal, accepted culture in their times. So the command from Paul was to live as who Christ has made us to be and not to accept the polluted culture.

Paul emphasised the importance of living out our faith as men and women who took care of their bodies as the temple of God.

We are not to defile our bodies with passions and desires that gratify the flesh. Instead, we are to live our lives in the spirit with the resurrection power of God.

The culture in our own society was no diferent to the Thessalonians in their time. Are we as a church practising things that can be a downfall of many lives?

Are we practising things that do not reveal the righteousness of God that is in us? Paul is teaching us today to live by His Spirit as born-again children of God.

Let us treasure, practice, and shine the power-filled life we have received in Christ our Lord.

They immediately left their nets and followed Him.
Matthew 4:20 NKJV

Jesus saw Simon Peter and Andrew doing their job, casting their nets into the sea. When Jesus called them, both of them left their nets and followed Jesus.

Simon Peter, Andrew and the other disciples left everything to follow Jesus. They left their source of income and somehow had confidence in the one who called is able to provide.

There were no records of family left without food but had all their needs met including paying taxes.

One of the many blessings in following Jesus is that all that we will ever need for that call is provided for.

There were supernatural provision like a gold coin in the fish mouth and wealthy people moved to give towards Christ's work.

God had His provision set for all of His children for His purpose to be fulfilled. The manifestation of the provision happened as they went about doing what God had called them to do.

When most of the disciples left Jesus with regards to the eating His flesh and drinking His blood in John 6, Peter told Jesus they have no where to go as Jesus has the words of eternal life.

Peter knew what matters most in life and he would give up everything to receive it from Jesus. They had persecution, resistance and all kinds of challenges yet at the end the eleven came back to do the work of Christ.

We need to be confident in the one who has called us. Knowing that our needs will always be taken care of at all times.

Let our confidence be so assured that He who calls had it all covered before we take our first step of faith.

Guard the Gates Protecting What God Has Established. Sunday Morning Service. We all have gates in our lives — things we see, hear, think about, and allow into our hearts. The good news is that God hasn't called us to guard those gates through willpower alone. Through Christ and the Holy Spirit, He has given us everything we need to stand firm and walk in the life He intended for us.

Let's come together to lift the Name of Jesus and worship Him.

For I want you to know what a great conflict I have for you and those in Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh,
Colossians 2:1 NKJV

Paul wrote to the believers who have come to know Christ that they should never depart from the true gospel of Christ.

The struggle Paul talked about is not a physical struggle with someone but an internal concern for the spiritual well-being of the believers there in Laodicea.

Paul was concerned about the exposure of the teachings other than the true gospel of Christ, which causes God's children to lose sight of the true work of Christ.

There were four main teachings that were going around, and it is about legalism and ritualism, worship of angels, the message of punishing oneself to earn a place in heaven, and a secret message that is so-called revelation that does not align with the work Jesus completed for all mankind.

The enemy doesn't want believers to grasp the truth. Jesus is the truth that has been revealed to all mankind. Knowing Jesus means knowing the truth, which will set people free.

In order to divert people from the truth, satan brings in all these philosophies, rituals, and meaningless things to do and observe so that we get detached from the personal relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord.

If Paul were living today, he would be very concerned about the churches today. Many people have headed back towards the old covenant and try to live as if Jesus had not accomplished anything for them.

We have to be vigilant to hold on to what Christ has laid for all mankind and start building our lives on the foundation Jesus has already laid for all mankind.

For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
II Corinthians 4:6 NKJV

God our Father in heaven created the world in the light so that every part of creation can be seen, touched, and be experienced by mankind. It is the same way now through Christ; God our Father has shone the light IN US so that we will be able to behold all the glory of God that is in our lives.

God's light highlights what our Father in heaven has established in each one of us. His light will bring out God's PERFECT WORK IN MANKIND.

There is much knowledge out there in the world, and even in the churches today, that is not in accordance with what Christ has done for all mankind.

Everything in the scriptures has to be lighted up by His light, which will cause us to see everything in its true form which is revealed in the person Jesus Christ.

As we continue to build our lives on the knowledge that we have received from Jesus Christ, we will be building ourselves up in His holy life.

What God has done will remain but only those who believe will enjoy the manifestation of what Christ has already done.

Like how Jesus died and paid for all the sins of all mankind on earth more than two thousand years ago, yet only those who believe and receive Him will be saved.

Many believe but are not consistent in their beliefs. When storms hit them, they quickly respond as those who are not protected, not blessed, and not powerful.

Let us all believe, acknowledge, and stand firm in what Christ has already accomplished.

whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come—all are yours.
I Corinthians 3:22 NKJV

Paul wrote to the Corinthians and revealed to them that they had received it all in Christ. Everything that mankind needed from God; the help, the health, the provision, the authority, the power, the peace, the joy, and love, has been given to us.

But the Corinthians were still living like immature people.

They were still functioning in their carnality, thinking who is better than the other, looking for credibility from their own association instead of living in the perfect state of being in the person of Christ who is living in each one of us.

All that they are trying to achieve is actually already theirs in Christ Jesus.

It is like a dog chasing its own tail, hoping to catch it.

Many believers are still trying to catch their holiness, their health, their provision, and their blessings.

The truth is that all have been given to us already by Jesus Christ. But if we try to do something to get it, we will be like the dog that is chasing its own tail.

This results in what God has already given to slip away when we try to attain it, because the knowledge of what we already have will start to change into knowledge for us to attain.

We will form a religion, a structure, a pathway of preparation, and a belief system on how to attain it.

Every good and perfect gifts IS OF GOD AND GOD HAS GIVEN IT ALL TO US to live in them.

There will be no more boasting about our self-achievements because it is a gift of God. We boast in one person that is Jesus Christ and in His finished work.

Let us live life as one WHO HAS BEEN BLESSED with EVERY SPIRITUAL blessing, exercising and putting into practice every day by the power of His Spirit.

Live in the blessings,
Ps Ambrose
