My dear beloved brothers and sisters I want to share with you my thoughts on a crucial topic which most Christians and non-Christians find very difficult to do.

*Trading your plans for God's promises*
As I was reading the word of God and researching I came to realise how humans can be carried away by our strengths, emotions and intelligence.

Trading your plan for God's promises is often a painful process of surrendering personal, self-determined goals, timelines, and security in exchange for trust in God’s ultimate, often unseen, purpose and timing. It is not merely giving up, but rather a *"trade-in*" that exchanges limited human understanding for divine assurance, resulting in a life of faith rather than fear.

Based on my quest to understand this theme, I realised that this exchange involves several key aspects:
*1. The Core Meaning*: A Trade-In is
Giving Up Control: It means, as described by one source, is letting go of a "shiny new quarter" (your own plan) to accept what God holds in His hand, even if you cannot see what that is beforehand.

*Surrender of Self-Will:* It requires moving from a self-centered life to a Christ-centered one.
Shifting from Fear to Faith: It is the active decision to stop worrying about the future and trust that God's plan is better, even if it looks different than envisioned.

*2. The Practical Application*
Letting Go of "How": It means ceasing to force outcomes or obsess over how things will work out, instead trusting that God will bring them to pass.

*Redefining Success*: It involves redefining success not by worldly achievements (money, status, career), but by following God's will.

*Releasing Disappointment:* It means allowing God to take the "broken pieces" of failed plans and turn them into a new, purposeful, and, in the end, better future.

*Obedience Over Planning:* It means being willing to change direction, taking "courageous steps" when God redirects, as in, for instance, in careers or relationships.

*3.The Benefits and Promises*
*Peace and Rest:*
By letting go of the need to control, you gain the peace of knowing the Creator of the universe is in control.

*Unimaginable Goodness*: God’s plans are described as fuller, richer, and more rewarding than anything one could create alone.

*Security in Promises*: While earthly plans can fall through, God’s promises (e.g., love, provision, salvation, presence) are unbreakable.

*Strength in Weakness*: It is an exchange where you give God your weakness and, in return, receive His strength and grace.
*4. What it is NOT Trading in*
*1. It is not lazy or passive*: It is not about doing nothing, but rather "active trust" and working while trusting God for the results.

*2. It is not for earthly success only*: The promises are often spiritual (e.g., peace, spiritual growth) rather than just material prosperity.

In conclusion, it is a conscious decision to "crucify" our own, often limited,, plans to make room for God's better, eternal, and purposeful plan to unfold.

I thank You for taking the time to read my thoughts. Your humble servant (Rev. Dr. Fornah - Apostle)

Theme; Proximity and access
Scriptures: *James 4:8*

*Introduction*
The Bible emphasizes that God is not a distant deity but one who is near, accessible, and intimately involved in the lives of His people. The concepts of proximity (closeness) and access (the way to approach Him) are central to the gospel message, particularly through the work of Jesus Christ.

Before I delve into this message, let us look at more scriptures and biblical verses that illustrate these themes:

*Proximity:* God’s Nearness to Us
Several verses highlight God's closeness to humanity. James 4:8 states that if you draw near to God, He will draw near to you.
*Psalm 145:18* assures that the Lord is near to those who call on Him in truth. Acts 17:27 mentions that God is not far from each of us. Psalm 34:18 speaks of the Lord being near to the brokenhearted. Jeremiah 23:23 asks if God is a God only at hand and not far away, while Deuteronomy 4:7 questions if any great nation has a god as near as the Lord is to Israel when they call upon Him.
*Access*: *The Way to God*
The Bible teaches that access to God is primarily through Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:18 explains that through Jesus, both Jews and Gentiles have access to the Father in one Spirit. Hebrews 4:16 encourages drawing near to the throne of grace with confidence. In John 14:6, Jesus declares Himself to be the way, truth, and life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. Hebrews 10:19–20 speaks of having confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, through the new and living way He opened. Ephesians 3:12 states that through faith in Christ, we have boldness and confident access.
*Abiding: Living in Close Proximity*
Living in close connection with God is also a recurring theme. John 15:4 instructs believers to abide in Jesus, just as a branch must abide in the vine to bear fruit. Psalm 16:11 notes that in God's presence there is fullness of joy. Revelation 3:20 depicts Jesus standing at the door and knocking, promising to come in and fellowship with anyone who opens the door.
*Key Themes*
Key biblical themes related to proximity and access include:

*The Torn Veil*: The Old Testament's restricted access to God was replaced by direct access through Jesus' death, symbolized by the tearing of the temple veil (Matthew 27:51).
*Heart Proximity:* While God is everywhere, true spiritual closeness requires a sincere heart, not just outward religious acts (Isaiah 29:13, Matthew 15:8).

*Position vs. Proximity:* Through faith, believers have direct access (position), but they must actively "draw near" (proximity) through prayer and obedience to experience intimacy with God.

In conclusion, let me ask you this question?
Who do you allow to have access to you and your life?. In most cases, proximity is used to access our integrity and tarnish our reputation.

People come close to us to know who we are and then use our vulnerability to tarnish our reputation and character. Who do you allow in your life?

I urge you today to use these two aspects to come closer to God. Sitting with people is proximity but not everyone should have access to you. Reserve it for God. Who do you share your experiences and personal secrets with? Do not sell your reputation by letting everyone have access to you. Talk less and pray more.

Be blessed.

My dear beloved brethren, today marks a significant day in Christendom on the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem which is sometimes called palm Sunday.

As I mentioned, the Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem, a key event in the Christendom, commemorates Jesus' arrival in Jerusalem just before his crucifixion. It's celebrated as Palm Sunday and signifies Jesus' arrival as the Messiah, both a king and a humble servant. The event fulfilled prophecy, showcased Jesus' humility, and foreshadowed his ultimate sacrifice.

As a Fulfillment of Prophecy, Jesus' entry on a donkey was a symbol of peace, to fulfill the prophecy in Zechariah 9:9, which describes the arrival of the king on a donkey.

As a sign of humility in Kingdom principles,
riding a donkey, a vehicle typically associated with rural life, Jesus demonstrates humility and a non-violent approach to his kingdom.

The Triumphal Entry marks the beginning of Holy Week, a period leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection, ultimately highlighting Jesus' sacrifice for humanity.

*Celebration and Recognition:*
The crowd's acclaim with palm branches and shouting "Hosanna," signifies their recognition of Jesus as a king and savior.
Symbolic Meaning:
The palm branches represent victory and triumph, and the donkey symbolizes peace and humility. Jesus's entry into Jerusalem is viewed as a prophetic sign, particularly for the Jewish people, indicating Jesus as the Messiah.

The Triumphal Entry of Jesus into Jerusalem is described in Matthew 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-44, and John 12:12-19. These passages detail the events of Jesus entering Jerusalem on a donkey as I mentioned above is a fulfillment of a prophecy.

Jesus was greeted by a jubilant crowd who shouted "Hosanna" and spread their garments and palm branches on the road.

*My questions to believers today are these*;

1. Who and what are you celebrating this week?
2. What is your relationship with your maker?
3. Where would you be when the Messiah arrives?
4. Will your lamp be filled with oil and burning 🪔?
5. Or will your oil 🛢️ run out?
Be blessed and remain faithful to your Lord.

*The biblical significance of the month of March.*

My dear beloved the month of March has several biblical significant events that took place in March, including the anointing of the first priests, the restoration of King Jehoiachin, and the giving of Passover instructions.

The number three (3) is significant in the Bible, because it represents divine wholeness, completeness, and perfection. The third day is also significant because it represents God's pattern of creating new life and establishing a covenant with humanity.

In the book of Exodus:29 & exodus 30:30-34 (NKJV) the bible says;
"And you shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and consecrate them, that they may minister to Me as priests. “And you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'This shall be a holy anointing oil to Me throughout your generations."

Moses was commanded to consecrate Aaron and his sons as the first priests to serve in the Tabernacle

According to Luke 1:26 the Annunciation occurred in the sixth month of Elizabeth's pregnancy with John the Baptist. Many Christians observe this event with the Feast of the Annunciation on 25 March, an approximation of the northern vernal equinox nine full months before Christmas, the traditional birthday of Jesus.

It was in the 3rd month that the Lord told Moses to institute a new calendar for the children of Israel and gave instructions for celebrating Passover

March is also a transitional month, symbolizing growth and preparation for what's to come. Corroborated Bible Verse: “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18, NIV). This is a good time to deepen your understanding of God's Word.

May this month empower and equip you to come closer to God in Jesus precious name 🙏

Be blessed and know that the best is yet to come.
Your humble servant

A word to uplift someone before you go to bed or start your day (depending on which part of the world you live)

*Isaiah 41: 10 - 11*
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. All who rage against you will surely be ashamed and disgraced; those who oppose you will be as nothing and perish.

*Thoughts on today's verse*.
Not only does God's blessing rest on us, but his presence also goes with us. We can never be in a place where he is not with us (read Psalms 139:1-24).

His presence and power will uphold us and strengthen us. No matter what may happen in our physical bodies or with our physical worlds, God has given us the ultimate triumph over every enemy and all wickedness in Jesus.

Even those who doubted Jesus' came to realise that He is really the son of God. By his death and resurrection, we were empowered and equipped to defeat the enemies who in turn will worship our Lord, kneel at his feet, and recognize that our faith is not only appropriate but it is also victorious (1 Thessalonians 1:1-10, Philippians 2:9-11). Hallelujah!

As you go to bed or start your day, I decree and declare protection and peace of mind in whatever you do in Jesus precious name.

Thank you, heavenly Father for your grace in our lives. You are not only the God of the heavens but also the God of our hearts. You know us inside and out as you care for us through every step we take. You hear our cries for help and mercy. You share our struggles and burdens. You hear our thoughts, songs, and shouts of praise. Please God deliver us from every physical and spiritual enemies and give us the boldness to stand firm in our faith in you. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.🙏🏾

*What do you get when ignorance and stupidity walk hand in hand?*
The Bible contains many verses about ignorance, including passages that discuss the consequences of ignorance, the importance of knowledge, and the role of the Holy Spirit.
*Consequences of ignorance*
Ephesians 4:18: "Darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God"
Hosea 4:6: "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."
Proverbs 19:2: "Desire without knowledge is not good"
Proverbs 22:3: "The prudent sees danger and hides himself, but the simple go on and suffer for it"
Importance of knowledge
1 Corinthians 10:1: "Now I would not have you ignorant, brothers"
1 Corinthians 12:1: "Now concerning spiritual things, brothers, I don't want you to be ignorant"
1 Thessalonians 4:13: "But we don't want you to be ignorant, brothers"
Role of the Holy Spirit
John 14:26: "The Holy Spirit will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you."
Acts 1:8: "You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you."
Romans 8:26: "And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness"

On the other hand, the books of proverbs say this;
Proverbs 12:1 (ESV)
Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid.

Proverbs 14:16-18 (ESV)
One who is wise is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is reckless and careless. A man of quick temper acts foolishly, and a man of evil devices is hated. The simple inherit folly, but the prudent are crowned with knowledge.
Also read Proverbs 14:7-9

The Apostle Paul also said in Romans 1:22 that "claiming to be wise, they became fools,"

Before we begin to marry the two, let us define each one.
*Ignorance:*
Lack of knowledge or awareness about a subject, often seen as something that can be remedied through learning.
*Stupidity:*
A lack of intelligence or the inability to reason or understand often implying a deliberate choice to not use one's intellect.

A key quote highlighting the difference between ignorance and stupidity is, "We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid," by Benjamin Franklin, suggesting that while everyone starts without knowledge (ignorance), actively choosing not to learn constitutes stupidity.
Other relevant quotes:
"Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe."
Albert Einstein: This quote emphasizes the vastness of human stupidity, almost equating it with the infinite universe.
"Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity."
Martin Luther King Jr.: This quote warns against the dangers of being genuinely unaware while also actively choosing to be uninformed.

*What is the difference between willful ignorance and stupidity?*
Stupidity is the inability to correct behaviour despite repeated similar experiences. Willful ignorance is intentional stupidity—someone who is capable of adjusting their behaviour from experience but chooses not to on purpose.

*Ignorance can appear in three different types:* factual ignorance (absence of knowledge of some fact), object ignorance (unacquaintance with some object), and technical ignorance (absence of knowledge of how to do something).

The difference between "stupidity" and "ignorance" There is a difference between being stupid and being ignorant. Do you want to hear MY definition?

a stupid person would say, "2 + 2 = 22".
an ignorant person would say, "2 + 2 = 22 and anyone who disagrees with such people is wrong and stupid."

In our walk with the Lord, it's important to understand and distinguish between the two. People who lean on their own understanding are misled by their own wisdom.
Proverbs 3:5-6 says;" Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

The difference between stupidity and ignorance is that you can help stupidity, as it's not intentional. But you can't help ignorance because it's a choice. And choices have consequences. For example "the bible says that the wages of sin is death"
Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord

*Conclusion*
In conclusion, ignorance is not stupidity. In my opinion many people don’t understand ignorance and take offense if you say they are ignorant about such and such. In fact being ignorant just means that you don’t know something – it’s not derogatory or a statement of blame.

And it definitely does not mean that someone is stupid. However, time and again I see ignorance equated with stupidity.

Ignorant people get what their foolishness deserves, but the clever are rewarded with knowledge. Evil people will have to bow down to the righteous and humbly beg their favor. No one likes the poor, not even their neighbors, but the rich have many friends. Read Proverbs 14:18-35. This is a passage from the Bible that includes messages about wisdom, good and evil, and the consequences of actions.

May God bless you and your family for taking time to read or listen to my messages.

*A message to encourage someone today*
Scriptures; Ephesians 6:4
Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

*Proverbs 3: 11 -12*My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

*Thoughts on today's scriptures and encouragement*
In Malachi 4:6, God promised that fathers and children in God's coming Kingdom would be reunited in heart. Let's make that real in our homes today by nurturing and correcting our children, using a balance of nurture and correction. Let's not make our faith so full of rules and restrictions that it becomes impossible for our children to obey or hear that they are our beloved children, with whom we are well pleased! Let's not grant so much freedom, however, that our children feel neglected and uncertain about how to live in today's morally chaotic world. Let's turn our hearts toward them and pray for God to turn children's hearts toward their homes with us and our Father in heaven!

Hebrews 12:5-6 further reinforces the concept of divine discipline, drawing a parallel between the correction of earthly fathers and the discipline of God: "And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a Father addresses his son? It says, 'My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.

I encourage fathers' to bring up their children in the ways of the Lord and children to honour their parents as a command from God so that they may live long.

Proverbs 12:1 says; "Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates reproof is stupid."
Throughout the Bible, the role of fathers is extremely important. There are instructions about how to raise children. There are examples of good (and bad) fathers. And God himself is described as our Father in heaven.

*Conclusion*
Fathers play a vital role in shaping how their children see the world and understand right and wrong. As kids mature into adults, they make their own choices about what to do with their lives, how to treat others, and how to understand their relationship to God. Dads get to help lay the foundation for those decisions.

Parenting isn’t the only variable in how kids turn out though. A father can’t know what specific challenges their child may encounter on the path, and he can’t control how his children will react. He can only start them on the path by Impressing God’s commands on their children (Deuteronomy 6:6–7) “These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
May God's grace be on all the fathers and children today.

*My prayers for fathers and children*
O Lord God Almighty, Abba Father, our land lies under a curse because many Fathers have spiritually and physically abandoned their children. Please raise up parents, especially fathers, daddies, who will balance the challenging tasks of love, nurture, and correction and heal our families so our children may know your love and grace. In Jesus' name, we beg you to help our fathers. In Jesus precious name. Amen.

*A word to uplift someone losing faith and hope*

Theme: *FAITH FILLED FOR THE MIRACULOUS*

*HEBREWS 11: 1-4*
"Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. 2 This is what the ancients were commended for.

3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

4 By faith Abel brought God a better offering than Cain did. By faith he was commended as righteous, when God spoke well of his offerings. And by faith Abel still speaks, even though he is dead"

What was the difference between Cain and Abel? The Bible notes that Abel proved by his action that something set him apart from his brother. Though Cain and Abel were full, flesh-and-blood brothers and raised to adulthood by the same set of parents, Abel was completely different.

Abel's belief in God set him apart from Cain. Even today, those who operate on the same faithful set of beliefs distinguish themselves from those who do not, like Cain. This principle is a simple but monumental reality concerning how one should conduct his life! No other characteristic even begins to come close in value to what faith in God can produce in terms of well-being for an individual or a nation.

Hebrews 11:6 points out faith's importance, “But without faith it is impossible to please God, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” The author of the book of Hebrews, who may have been the apostle Paul, adds in Hebrews 10:22, “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.” Faith is thus mandatory for a relationship with God.

Faith in God is not the complete answer, of course, but when you lack faith, it certainly reveals a fundamental need as people try to find solutions to the problems that arise almost daily. God is the Source of all good solutions, and faith in Him is the beginning step in seeking them out. It is by our personal faith as God's called-out ones that we will not only endure the troubling times that lie ahead but also grow as we respond to Jesus Christ's leadership. Even amid the nation's calamitous troubles, we can triumph through the faithful use of His Holy Spirit.

So, faith filled for the miraculous makes us believe that nothing is impossible for God to do if we have faith.

When we have faith and trust in God, the unexpected always happens. 2 Corinthians 5:7 says "we walk by faith not by sight".

*Here are the points I am driving at*
1.When you are filled with faith, you are set for the miraculous.
2.But in order to please God, we must have faith.
3. When we gather and unite our faith, we release an atmosphere for miracles to occur
4. We must trust the Almighty God with our supernatural vision.
5. By retelling or testifying miracles, fuels our faith to believe for more.
My dear beloved, faith and hope always walk hand in hand, because Faith is the assurance of things hoped for and the conviction of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)

In conclusion, let me encourage you and I to understand that the central feature of faith is confidence or trust. Because the object of faith is God and His promises.
May God bless you for the time you took to read these thoughts.
