Saint Hilda's Anglican Church North Perth St Hilda's is the Parish Church for everyone in North Perth. We are a welcoming and open Anglican community. We’d love to see you soon! We meet at 9am on Sundays.

WELCOME! We extend a special welcome to those who are single, married, divorced, widowed. gay, confused, filthy rich, comfortable, or dirt poor. We extend a special welcome to wailing babies and excited toddlers. We welcome you whether you can sing like Pavarotti or just growl quietly to yourself. You’re welcome here if you’re ‘just browsing’, just woken up or just got out of prison. We don’t care

if you’re more Christian than the Archbishop of Canterbury, or haven’t been to church since Christmas ten years ago. We extend a special welcome to those who are over 60 but not grown up yet, and to teenagers who are growing up too fast. We welcome keep-fit mums, football dads, starving artists, tree huggers, latte-sippers, vegetarians, junk-food eaters. We welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted. We welcome you if you are having problems, are down in the dumps or don’t like ‘organised religion’. (We’re not that keen on it either.) We offer a welcome to those who think the earth is flat, work too hard, don’t work, can’t spell or are here because granny is visiting and wanted to come to church. We welcome those who are inked, pieced, both or neither. We offer a special welcome to those who could use a prayer right now, had religion shoved down their throat as kids or got lost in the city centre and wound up here by mistake. A busy and encouraging week in the Parish of North Perth!

Our new Parish Priest, Father Steve, has been out and about meeting parishioners, listening to stories, and beginning the important work of getting to know our community.

On Tuesday morning, four parishioners gathered for Morning Prayer, reflection and conversation using Pray As You Go. Later that evening, Father Steve chaired his first Parish Council meeting as preparations continue for this Sunday’s Annual Meeting of Parishioners.

Today, Father Steve joined the community at Perth College to welcome their new Chaplain, The Reverend Julie Baker. We look forward to strengthening our relationship with the College and exploring new opportunities to work together.

The week has also included visits to North Perth Primary School, Australia Post at the North Perth Local Post Office, and Providence Clothing Co. These visits have had a simple but important purpose: introducing ourselves, building connections, and saying a friendly “hello” to our neighbours. All with a new supply of fresh and local olive oil from Harvest 6006!

As Father Steve settles into parish life, we give thanks for the many conversations already taking place and look forward to the relationships and opportunities that lie ahead.
