Pray with us this Father's Day.

Our Father in heaven, you have made yourself known to us through Jesus Christ and have invited us to pray to you as our Father, that we may pray boldly and confidently to you.
We pray for fathers. Give them wisdom. Give them patience. Give them the ability to love in a way that reflects your love.
We pray for the fatherless and those who struggle in their families. Be their Father when earthly fathers fail. Show them love and guidance, and help them to know a father’s love through your love, providence, and care.
Use Christian friends and other families to encourage and guide, nurture and instruct, and bless them with your peace; through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Amen.

Join us in praying for St Matt’s Youth Invite Fortnight

Lord God, we thank you for the opportunity for St Matt’s Youth to host Invite Fortnight; for the leaders and extra volunteers who make the two Friday nights possible and for all the teenagers and the friends they have invited who are coming along.
We pray these teenagers would have hearts soft to the gospel, that what they see and hear at Invite Fortnight would attract them to Jesus.
Please would the words spoken in the talks and discussions across the two weeks be full of salt and light, and that you be at work calling these teenagers to a saving love of Jesus.

Origen of Alexandria (c. 185 – c. 253), was an early Christian scholar and theologian. He was a prolific writer who wrote roughly 2,000 treatises in multiple branches of theology, including textual criticism, biblical exegesis and hermeneutics, homiletics, and spirituality.
He was tortured for his faith during the Decian persecution in 250 and died three to four years later from his injuries.

Our 11am service is at their annual day away this Sunday! If you're not planning to be there, why not visit one of St Matthew's other services at 11am, 4:30pm or 6:30pm.

Please note our 9am service includes a children's program, while at 4:30pm and 6:30pm children will stay in the service with their parents.

Join us in praying for Perth Men’s Convention this Saturday!

Give thanks to God for Perth Men’s Convention, that it is an opportunity for men across Perth and WA to gather, be taught from God’s word, sing praises together, encourage one another and be built up in living for Christ.

Pray for this year’s speaker - Jeff Hunt - that his talks from the book of Titus would be faithful and true, and the Holy Spirit would use them to work in the hearts of the men attending to think about the legacy of grace in their lives.

Pray for the logistics of the day to run smoothly, that all who attend will grow in their love and knowledge of Jesus and all he has won for them.
