While the stake leaders were in Kalgoorlie this weekend for the Kalgoorlie ward conference, I had the blessing to set apart Sis Sheck as a full-time missionary. She will serve in the Philippines Manila Mission, the same mission country as her father.

Sis Sheck is excited and well prepared and we look forward to seeing her growth in service of the Lord.

What a sacred blessing to gather together at our special Dianella Stake conference in Perth, WA, and hear from Elder Stevenson, an apostle of the Lord, and his wonderful wife. Truly a special weekend we won't forget.

Family Dinner Time!

The Dianella Youth chose to follow the example of their leaders, our Prophet, President Dallin H. Oaks, and our Stake President, President Anderson.

The goal was to make dinner time a more connected experience by putting away their phones and being fully present with their families.

Our devotional was a practice for how the youth can support their own families at home.

Youth "families" were formed, each with different roles, setting the table, keeping phones away, working together, and talking. Friendships were made, and spiritual thoughts were shared around the dinner table.

The youth enjoyed more than just delicious hamburgers and apple crumble, they fellowshipped with one another, met new friends, and strengthened existing relationships.

A fun evening was had by all!
