We are an welcoming and affirming social and spiritual group for q***r Catholics in Perth. We are a fully inclusive and affirming community.

We are a group of Rainbow Catholics who support each other in regards to faith and sexuality. Our aim is to create a social group where we can catch up as well as support one another. We welcome anyone le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, q***r, asexual (LGBTIQA+) people regardless of whether they are young, old, single, celibate, married and from all backgrounds.

Last night, Acceptance Perth was invited to attend the third night of Hanukkah, held alongside prayers and readings in response to the Bondi Beach attack.

The service at Temple David was deeply moving - marked by grief, solidarity, and hope for peace. At the close of the gathering, this prayer was shared with the community:

A Prayer For Us All

We seek healing not just for ourselves, but for the whole world.
Bring wholeness where there is brokenness.
Peace where there is strife.
Love where there is fear.
Hope where there is despair.
Healing where there is pain.
Renewal where there is weariness.
Light where there is darkness.

May healing flow through us, to us, and beyond us.

Amen.

We pray for peace and unity in Australia.

We hold in prayer those who have died, those who are critically injured, and their families and loved ones.

At a time that should have been safe and life-giving, violence has caused deep harm.

We stand in solidarity with the Jewish community in Australia, the Bondi community, as well as all affected across Sydney and the world.

We especially stand in solidarity with our Jewish friends at Temple David and those within the Rainbow Interfaith Alliance.

Had an amazing night with Rev Jo Inkpin who was the first transgender priest in Australia! 🏳️‍⚧️

It was wonderful to learn about q***r Christian flourishing especially from a trans perspective.

Thanks to everyone who came, as well as our co-host St Andrew's church. Thanks also to our grant provider Alike WA for sponsoring the wonderful venue Perron Place and delicious catering from Miss Maud's.
