The parish community of St Paul’s Catholic Church, Mount Lawley, extends our heartfelt condolences to the Jewish community, and in particular our dear neighbours the Perth
Hebrew Congregation and Temple David, following the horrific and senseless shooting in Bondi, NSW.

We mourn the innocent lives lost, grieve with their families, and hold close all who are traumatised by this act of violence. At such a time, words feel inadequate, yet we wish to express our solidarity, compassion, and prayerful support.

Violence against any community wounds us all. As people of faith, we stand united in rejecting hatred and in affirming the dignity of every human life. We pray for peace, for healing of hearts, and for strength for all who are suffering.

May the God of mercy grant rest to the dead, comfort to the bereaved, and healing to all communities.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let Perpetual Light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.

Join us at St Paul's with our cantor Theodore Murphy-Jelley for a short afternoon of song! Theodore is back from the UK for a bried time, where he has been studying at the Royal Northern College of Music. His recital will be of music arranged for auditions over the coming year.

St Paul’s Youth Group is back for two nights this year, on Friday 29th October and Friday 19th November. The program will usually run fortnightly from 2022.

We'll go to the 5.45pm Mass then getting together for a program called Chosen, from 6.30-8pm. The evening includes prayer, discussion, videos, games and food!

Father Tim Deeter celebrates his 70th in St Paul's style Mt Lawley Parish Priest Fr Tim Deeter, with friends on his 70th birthday. "Some priests, I know, wonder at times if it has been worth the personal sacrifice and struggle to forego wife and children in order to pursue a priestly vocation.
