In a small coastal town in West Papua, a group of young believers gathers with something many have never owned before—their very first Bible. As they read together, lives are being changed.

Through Bible League’s work, local leaders are equipped to reach their own communities—sharing Scripture, leading Bible studies, and walking alongside others as they grow in faith.

Today, through simple Bible study booklets and faithful local leadership in West Papua, Indonesia:

🔹 Around 6,000 children and adults have taken part in Bible groups
🔹 Over 100 local leaders have been trained
🔹 Nearly 50 villages have been reached

There are still many communities like these—places where people are open, where hearts are ready, and where local believers are willing to serve.

Sonia’s journey has not been without hardship. She experienced a difficult relationship with a man from the National Liberation Army in Colombia and became a mother in the midst of challenging circumstances. Yet through it all, God was at work.

Today, Sonia’s home has become a place of hope.

She leads Bible studies for women and children in her community—creating a safe space where people can encounter God’s Word and experience His love.

“It’s a place of peace, where women and children not only learn about Christ but experience His love,” she shares.
