Today, we celebrate the Feast of St Junípero Serra, a faithful Franciscan missionary whose deep love for Christ inspired him to dedicate his life to proclaiming the Gospel and forming vibrant communities of faith.
Together with our Serra Club members, we look to St Junípero Serra as a model of missionary discipleship, perseverance, and trust in God's call. Despite many challenges, he remained steadfast in his commitment to bringing others closer to Christ and encouraging vocations to serve the Church.
On this special day, let us pray for all those discerning God's call to the priesthood, diaconate, and consecrated life. May St Junípero Serra intercede for them, and for each of us, that we may continue to support and foster vocations with enthusiasm, faith, and hope.
