One of the most beautiful parts of church is watching faith be passed from one generation to the next.

This week, Ruthy reminded our children that the greatest gift we can share isn't something that comes wrapped in a box—it's Jesus.

As the children talked about sharing smiles, inviting friends, praying for others and opening God's Word, they discovered that each of us has a part to play in helping
others know Him.

We believe children aren't just the church of tomorrow—they're part of God's family today. That's why we love creating opportunities for older generations to invest in younger ones, sharing stories of faith that can shape a lifetime.

❤️ Thank you to everyone who gives their time to encourage the next generation to know and follow Jesus.

Have you ever tried looking into a dirty mirror?

The reflection is there, but it's distorted by everything that's covering the surface.

In this week's message, our pastor used that simple picture to remind us that this is what sin does to the image of God in us. It doesn't erase our value, but it distorts the way God's character is reflected in our lives.

The beautiful news of the gospel is that the Holy Spirit is at work, gently restoring what has been clouded. Day by day, He is transforming us so that we reflect Jesus more clearly.

Discipleship isn't about trying harder to become a better person. It's about surrendering our lives to God and allowing His Spirit to continue the work He has begun in us.

"And we all... are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." — 2 Corinthians 3:18

What is one area of your life where you've seen God slowly transforming you?

At one of our recent homeschool chapels, we explore the idea of “What is the Bible?”

Our homeschoolers had the challenge of remembering the books of the Bible and putting them in order. How would you do at this challenge?

Have you ever felt like your prayers aren't enough?

In Philippians 4:6–7, we're invited to bring **everything** to God in prayer—not because we'll always get the answer we expect, but because God promises something even greater: His peace.

> "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

No burden is too small. No situation is too complicated. God invites us to come to Him.

If there's something weighing on your heart, we'd be honoured to pray with you. Send us a message with your prayer request.

And if you'd like to pray with others, you're warmly invited to join our online Prayer Meeting every Wednesday at **7:30 pm**.

🙏 How can we pray for you today?

Pr Terence shared with our Homeschool Chapel class about prayer today. He shared that we can talk to God whenever we want. We can ask Him what we want or need. He’s always listening and he never fails us.

❤️ The Quiet Generosity That Keeps Giving ❤️
Today we simply want to say thank you.

To the many neighbours of Thornleigh Seventh-day Adventist Church who quietly and generously pop food into our Street Pantry. You may never meet us, and we may never meet you, but your kindness does not go unnoticed.

Each day our church volunteers replenish the pantry, and most days we find that someone has already added groceries for others to enjoy. Every can, packet and box is a reminder that our community is filled with caring people who want to make a difference.

Every now and then we're fortunate enough to meet some of our generous donors in person. A few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of meeting someone from the West Pennant Hills Joeys, who more than half the pantry with their wonderful donation. It was such an encouragement!

But today we especially want to acknowledge those of you who quietly go about doing good without any recognition. Your generosity is a blessing to families doing it tough, and it reminds us that even small acts of kindness can have a big impact.

Thank you for helping us care for our community. We pray that God will richly bless you for the kindness you so freely show to others.

"As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, my God." (Psalm 42:1)

These words have echoed through generations because they express something every follower of Jesus longs for—a heart that desires God above everything else.

Before singing this song, our worship leader invited the congregation to join in. We love that picture of worship. It's not a performance to watch, but an invitation for all of us to lift our hearts to God together.

Perhaps today you recognise that longing for God in your own life.

Or perhaps you're in a season where that desire feels distant.

If that's you, our prayer is simple: ask God to give you a deeper desire for Him. He delights to draw near to those who seek Him.

May this song encourage you to seek Him today.

A sign can't change a life, but it can be an invitation.

If you pass our sign each day, we hope it reminds you that you are seen, remembered, prayed for, and loved.

If one of the messages has encouraged you, we're grateful.

If it has made you curious enough to step inside one day, know that you are always welcome.

Our prayer is that what begins with a sign becomes something much greater—a place where you encounter Jesus, find genuine community, and discover that you belong.
