Today we’re celebrating the dads, grandads, stepdads, foster dads, father figures, mentors & all the men who have made a difference in the lives of others.
We’re thankful for the men who quietly show up, love generously, pray faithfully & point their families towards Jesus.
We also know that Father’s Day can bring a whole range of emotions - joy, gratitude, grief, longing or perhaps complicated feelings - wherever today finds you, you’re not forgotten. ❤️

1 Thessalonians 2:11–12
"For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God…"

It’s one of Paul’s most personal letters, written near the end of his life, to Timothy, a man who’d become his spiritual son; and, for a man who never had sons of his own, one of the closest relationships of his life 🙏

🎯 This Week in Parky KidsMin
In our "Who, Me?" series, we learnt about Saul.

Saul was chosen to be Israel's first king and began by trusting God. But over time, his heart drifted away. Instead of obeying God completely, Saul started doing things his own way. Through his story, we discovered that God cares about what's happening in our hearts, not just what people see on the outside.

Our kids learnt that God wants our obedience, not just our outward actions. Following God means trusting Him and choosing His way, even when it's difficult.
"To obey is better than sacrifice." 1 Samuel 15:22

📖 Through God's Big Story, we saw that God desires hearts that love Him and are willing to obey Him. Most importantly, we remembered that Jesus obeyed His Father perfectly, and through Him, God helps us to follow Him with our whole hearts.

🎯 This Week in Parky KidsMin
In our "Who, Me?" series, we learnt about Samuel.

As a young boy, Samuel heard God calling his name. At first, he didn't realise it was God speaking, but with Eli's help, Samuel learnt to listen and respond, "Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening." 👂✨🌙

Our kids learnt that God still speaks to us today through God's Big Story, and we can choose to listen to Him and obey what He says. "Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening." 1 Samuel 3:9

📖 Through God's Big Story, we discovered that listening to God isn't just about hearing His words—it's about trusting Him and putting His Word into action. Most importantly, we remembered that Jesus perfectly listened to and obeyed His Father, showing us how to live each day.
