Last Sunday in Week 5 of Dear God, our kids learned what it means to pray when we are worried through the story of Elijah and the widow with the bread and oil. They discovered that even when the widow did not have much, God still provided for her, her son, and Elijah day by day. It was such a comforting reminder that when we feel worried about what we need, we can pray, trust God, and remember that He is our faithful provider! 🤍

Last Sunday in Week 4 of Dear God, our kids learned what it means to pray, “Not my will, but Yours be done,” through the story of Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. They discovered that prayer is not just about asking God to change our situation, but about bringing our real feelings to Him, trusting His bigger plan, and choosing His way even when it’s hard. This term, our kids are diving into Dear God—a powerful journey into prayer and what it means to talk with God personally. In Week 1, we introduced the The Lord’s Prayer, helping the kids understand that prayer isn’t about fancy words, but about relationship. They learned how Jesus showed us a simple and meaningful way to pray—honouring God, trusting Him for our needs, and choosing His ways every day. Such a beautiful foundation as we begin this term! 🙏🏼

Philippians 4:6–7 | Rehearse the Verse – April

This month, we’re focusing on Philippians 4:6–7. It’s all about learning how to bring our worries to God and choosing peace instead. As kids rehearse this verse, they’ll be reminded that they don’t have to carry anxiety on their own. God cares about what they’re going through and gives them His peace in return.

This term, our kids learned about King Jehoshaphat and how he chose to trust God when facing a huge army. Instead of relying on his own strength, he prayed and led the people to worship, believing that the battle belonged to the Lord. The children were reminded that when we feel overwhelmed, we can seek God first, trust Him completely, and praise Him even before we see the victory. 🤍

This term, our kids learned about King Hezekiah and how he trusted God even when his kingdom was under threat. We saw how he prayed first instead of panicking, and how God responded to his faith and humility. The children were reminded that when we face scary or overwhelming situations, we can turn to God in prayer, trust Him completely, and believe that He is powerful enough to help us. 🤍

1. Collect your resources
At the start of the month grab:
• Your Family Calendar
• The Rehearse the Verse sticker
• Two Bite-Sized Bible stickers

These will be your family challenges for the month.

2. Place your stickers on the calendar
Put the Rehearse the Verse and two Bite-Sized Bible stickers onto your calendar to plan when your family will do them.

3. Complete the challenges together
During the month:
• Learn the Rehearse the Verse memory scripture
• Complete two Bite-Sized Bible family devotions

4. Redeem your token
When your family finishes the challenges, bring your token to the Kids Family Resource Station to receive your prize.

5. Enter the major prize draw
Write your name on the token and place it in the major prize draw.

✨ Bonus: Every completed token gives your family a chance to win the major prize!
