Last week, Uncle Ray Minniecon, who is representing Australia and sharing his wisdom at the 23rd annual NAIITS Symposium in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada.

This year's symposium explores the theme "Being a Good Ancestor," drawing on Indigenous teachings such as the Seven Generations Principle, which encourages us to consider how our actions today will impact generations to come. It invites a profound question for all people of faith: What does it mean to live in a way that leaves a legacy of justice, care, and hope for those who follow us?

From Pentecost through to the 49th Anniversary of the Uniting Church in Australia, Paddington Uniting Church are participating in 30 Days | 30 Voices | One Church in Prayer.

This national prayer initiative invites us to journey together through daily reflections and prayers centred on the question: "What does it mean to be woven together in Christ's love across cultures and boundaries?" Inspired by the Assembly theme, Threads of Love: Weaving Christ's Love Across Cultures and Boundaries, the season encourages us to listen deeply to God and strengthen our connections with one another as a diverse and Spirit-led Church.

Join us today at 11am.

Today, on National Sorry Day, we pause to remember and acknowledge the pain and injustice experienced by the Stolen Generations, their families, and communities.

We honour the strength, resilience, and survival of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and commit ourselves to listening, truth-telling, healing, and reconciliation.

May we continue to walk together with humility, compassion, and a shared commitment to justice. 🖤💛❤️
