Celebrating Father’s Day

Today we celebrate the fathers and father figures who offer love, guidance, encouragement and a steady presence in the lives of others.

We give thanks for the many ways fatherhood is expressed — through raising children, mentoring, caring, teaching and simply being there when someone needs you.

As Scripture reminds us:

“The righteous who walks in his integrity—blessed are his children after him!”
— Proverbs 20:7

May we continue to celebrate the men who help others grow, flourish and discover who they are.

As winter draws to a close…
As the days begin to lengthen and we welcome the first hints of spring, we’re reflecting with gratitude on the winter we’ve shared together at Paddington Uniting Church.

From worship and community gatherings to meaningful conversations, music, art moments of connection and a wedding amidst the markets, thank you to everyone who has helped make our church a warm and welcoming place through the colder months.

As winter closes, we look forward to all that spring will bring, new beginnings, fresh energy and more opportunities to connect, care and grow together.

First Nations Mental Health and Wellbeing Day.

Babana Aboriginal began more than 20 years ago with a simple vision: to strengthen and empower the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in Redfern and Sydney's inner city. Today, Babana continues to be a welcoming and inclusive space where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people of all ages and backgrounds can come together to connect, share culture, build relationships and support one another.
